Note, I just changed the league to 12 teams max (from 14), so get in quick. We have 6 teams already.
12 team leagues are about ideal, I reckon, and given the positional challenge I've incorporated into this one, and that it's roto, 12 is a good number.
7 in, 5 to go.
Should be very challenging.
Do people want to draft this weekend or next??? And how does early on Saturday night (say 5pm) Texas time sound? That way people can draft before they go out, and it's about 8am Sunday morning for me.
still a spot avaliable?
C'mon biznitches, sign the up.
There are 4 spots, get that done.![]()
I'm in.
lol, Kamla loathes 9-cat. When he used to do his nightly call-in show, he'd routinely dress his callers down over their use of TOs.
I think his logic is that star players get more TOs, just in the way of handling the ball for 36 minutes a night. It leaves your best players flawed. I understand and all things being equal I prefer 8-cat, but IMO it isn't that big a deal. Everyone's in the same boat.
Well, I'm not wedded to TOs, but I think it does add a twist. I could also change it to assist:TO ratio if people would prefer that. I think 9-cat is the way to go though.
3 spots left, people.
C'mon, 3 more players, please, or at least 1 which will make 10 teams.
Yup, I think so. Get House in here, that'd be fun, and maybe a couple of those nutsack Mavs fans!![]()
Check this beastly team, guys. It's h2h, so I punted 3 cats - FT%, TOs and 3s - and went super-strong in the rest. I was drafting at #6, compe ive 12-team league:
1. Howard
2. Melo
3. Rondo
4. Rose
5. TP
6. A Randolph
7. Diaw
8. Bogut
9. J Thompson
10. Deng
11. Stuckey
12. K-Mart
13. Perkins
It's a beast in pts, rbs, asts, stls, blks and FG%.![]()
Still need 3 more players, or one at the very least.
Note that I've just changed the draft time so that it is 9am (Australian time) on Monday 26th, which is 6pm Sunday (Eastern), 5pm Sunday (Central). Hope that suits everyone.
I work for myself, so I don't mind having the draft on a Monday morning.
PS Is Texas on Central time? I assumed so.
Damn good H2H team.
Just finished one of my drafts (12 team 10 cat Roto (TO + Offensive Boards)
PG: Rajon Rondo/Tony Parker/Aaron Brooks/Allen Iverson
SG/SF: Danny Granger/John Salmons/Tyrus Thomas/Anthony Morrow
PF/C: Brook Lopez/Elton Brand/Al Horford/Joakin Noah
Dropping Gallinari for Channing Frye.
I'm fairly happy, especially with my late round picks (Brooks/Iverson). But, I fear I'm going to struggle a bit in 3s, assists. Should be compe ive in scoring, boards and defensive stats.
Looking forward to the draft.
Nice, although I wonder how %s will turn out for you as well. Then again, this is my first year playing roto, so I don't quite have a feel for it yet.
Well, I was going to confine this league to the NBA forum, but we need players so I'm going to shop it in the Spurs forum.
I'm hoping the big guys + Rondo and Parker will help offset the FG% of Granger/Ty Thomas and Brooks (I doubt I'm going to play Brooks and AI at the same time).
FT% just trying to stay middle of the pack compe ive in; but with Brand/Rondo/Noah I may be in a bit of trouble. Hopefully Parker continues his upward trend.
Roto is fun, but it can be less intense than H2H definitely. Although, I usually pretty play Roto. Only dabbled in H2H last year.
