i remember that when asked if there previous playoff fails were a concern phillips noted well we had a bye week in round one like it was some sort of moral victory
Did he only schedule 2 practices or some like that during this week?
Only a few practices were scheduled, yes. But the players are working out and practicing anyway.

Wade Phillips should definetely consider this bye week like a win. All 3 teams in their division lost in embarrassing fashion.

Just glad I was spared the pain of watching these guys play for one weekend. Is it possible that they might not get another win until late November?!?! I'm not sure how I would react to a loss at the hands of the Raiders on Thanksgiving. It's very possible that they end up 7-9. The rest of their schedule is pretty brutal besides having to play Washington twice.
I was LMAO at the ESPN ticker last week that said, "Jerry Jones says Wade Phillips will not be fired during the season."

This win might have actually saved his career. But even then i'm not completely convinced.
I'd be willing to bet that if Phillips figured out a way to lose during a bye week that Jerry would still offer excuses for his puppet.
Maybe he should offer him some pretty white caps like the ones he got.
They did actually gain ground in the division simply by not playing. That's about as productive as they've been this year.
