6-4 start over the first 10 games mainly because of team chemistry and Timmy most likely not playing on the B2B's.
With lots of new faces on the roster, what do you all think your opening record will be? Do the Spurs need a few weeks to integrate the new guys or do you think the team is ready to roll?
Most notable, the Spurs play the Mavs TWICE in the first 10 games...

7 and 3 with two wins over the over hyped Mavs, boy though what a tough stretch to start out!
7-3 or 8-2..I think it's going to take a little while to show dominance with TD and Manu getting back in rhythm + the chemistry issues, but we have enough talent and depth to beat most of those teams either way..
phyzik, there's no way we lose at home to Utah..it's against the rules, just like getting a W against Milwaukee..
I like a tough starting stretch. Lets you coast through the tail end of the season, and start the playoffs nice and rested.
I'm going 6-4.

It will be most definately still be a feeling out proccess bt im nt gna be surprised if we have a shaky start bt doesnt matter spurs will make the playoffs and gna be seeing the lakeshow in the WCF.
7-3?
It's a pretty tough start, and there's a lot of question marks right now. Things could fit well together and we do better even, but I don't know what's going to happen. I could actually see us coming out of the gate slowly this year.
I'm trying to remember the poster that used to panic and have meltdowns during EVERY game thread last year..he hasn't posted in a while..he always stood out during the threads though..he used to get into arguments with ruff a lot during the games..
15-0.
We're that badass.
7-3 or 8-2 is a very dominating start...especially with the quality of those teams.
You and Rumpped have 2 straight wins over the Mavs in 7 days....very bold![]()
I meant dominating with the play on the court..I think a lot of those will be close games, and I don't think we'll win @Portland and @Dallas that early, although it's obviously possible..
The rest of those teams aren't that great IMO..playing @ Utah will be very tough and might be a loss, but I don't see anything anywhere else..Utah hasn't won in San Antonio in forever, even when we sat out Parker and Manu last year..I think we'll beat the Mavs @home, especially since it's the 1st time we see them since last year's embarrassment..New Orleans could give some compe ion I guess, but I don't see it with our depth and their lack of depth..
Everything else should be relatively easy IMO..Chicago is an average team, Toronto is an average team, Sacramento is horrible, OKC no longer has the fortune of playing against a team full of elderly players that can't handle their running..
I say 5-5 or 6-4. We always start slow, then the fire Pop idiots come out and then we end up winning 56 to 60 games after having gone 20-2 at the end of the season.

9-1
with the loss against the thunder.

9-1 - with the loss coming to the Blazers on the second night of a B2B. I'm optimistic!
Is Timmy really going to sit out b2b's, Ive heard alot of people mention that here but honestly I havent heard anything about it from Pop or Tim himself. I think his minutes will limited to no more than 30 per game but I doubt he actually sits out games where he is physically fine.
I say we start off 7-3, split with the Mavs.
8-2 or 9-1. True the Spurs probably won't have really good chemistry right out the box, but Pop has been more chipper this year than in the past. It makes me think he knows that this team is capable of being unstoppable.
I say 7-3 with them losing 2 due to the back to back situation. And, I think Thunder is gonna keep rolling over us![]()

8-2. Nice to get some of the back-to-backs out of the way early, but given the better depth this year, they should not be as bad. I expect to lose one game to the Mavs due to them matching up well. They have a lot of offense, but Pop will figure it out by the second game and hand them their ass.
