brings tears to my eyes
Petro was one of my favorite players. I miss him.
X2.. blazers management should of listened to drexler when he said for them to keep him no matter what.. r.I.p.
Those morons used him as a 3 pt shooter for short stretches
We all know Petro was much more than that.
Imagine that starting 5:
- PG: Porter
- SG: Petro
- SF: Drexler
- PF: Williams
- C: Duckworth

they wouldnt have lost to the pistons in he final if they had drazen, they wouldnt have lost to the lakers in 91 if they had drazen.
Death always seduces the imagination of the living.
& lodging Duckworth in there, Lefty? Please.
Thank you very much for posting the vid.
Thanks a lot for posting. RIP Drazen Petrovic
He was their best (default) center at the time
He was pretty damn good. Look at this head to head against Jordan.

Drazen once had 110 pts in a Euro tournament game![]()
I know but I remember everybody making fun of the poor soul at the time. They couldn't get him to compete on an NBA level. He was like a teddy bear.
Not a great center, but had a good one-handed shot off the pick-n-roll
112. 40-60 fg, 22-22 ft, 10-20 3pt.
Correct![]()
It was against slovenian team Olimpia. Team managenent messed up with application and they have to play against team Cibona with U-18 team Olimpija. Cibona's players made arrangement to let Petrovič score.
Even if they let me score, I would have ended the game with 2 pts
drazen was a stud and to an extent a spur killer. one of the original euros.
to be frank I couldn't stand "The Dragon"... I was glad when Rocket Rod punked his ass in back in the day... sure he was a good player but his overly-dramatic antics on the court got on my last nerve... plus Rod punked him for a reason- I don't know that he was the cleanest player around...
petrovic owned the dream

Yeah, imagine that. Using someone with a career 3G% of .437 as a 3 point shooter. Someone needs to lose their job.
Drazen Petrovic was one of the best shooters ever to play basketball, and that's without qualification.
I just remember he made a play one time during a game against the Spurs and ran past the bench saying something that only Gregg Popovich understood and it nearly started a fight. This was when the war between the Serbs and the Croats was at its peak. I never liked the little son of a ever again.
