This amazing run Arod is on is due to end soon. If not this series, for sure the next round against the Phillies.

Funny you say that, Bill Simmons I think said it best. It seems that ARod is playing like he just decided to be a baseball player instead of being liked by everyone. Once he stopped caring about what everyone though, he started crushing the ball.

He looks like a different player compared to any other time.

    Or in Spring Training.

I know what you're going through. I've spent the last five postseasons pulling for whoever the Red Sox were playing.

If Arod keeps this going into the World Series, I will admit I'm wrong and you can bump my post. bump it if the Yanks end up winning it all. I refuse to be sold on them being a true championship team until they actually do it. As much as I hate them, I truly can't see this team beating the Phillies.

    1. I'm no Arod fan, but he's on the team I've rooted for since childhood.

    2. Yanks as champs this year is no foregone conclusion. , after the last five years, I'm not counting the Angels out just yet.

    3. The best Yankee teams thru the years were good from the left side on the mound and at the plate. It's the formula for success in old and new Yankee Stadium. The Phillies are loaded from left side and are the defending champs.

So, while I'm more optimistic about their chances than at any point since GM4 of the 2004 ALCS, I know there is still a lot of work still to be done.

Arod is a very good player but i don't like him. One thing I know for sure Barry Bonds was a 100x better than Arod. I mean if were doing roid comparisons here...BB put up about the 3 best seasons ive ever seen in a row. Arod=poor mans barry bonds

Bonds put up his numbers mainly when they weren't testing for .. A-Rod had a 54 HR season with the Yanks when he was being tested for Roids. Maybe he was on HGH but Barry was likely on everything in the book, he could get away with anything..

Baroid>A-roid, not even close. Some of the numbers may end up being better for A-rod but Bonds was literally feared by pitchers, and he put up numbers while seeing maybe one good pitch per AB, if that. Add in the skinny Barry years when he was a beast in the field and on the base pads and there's simply no comparison. Barry was a much better all-around player than A-rod will ever be.

Count me as being one of those who will be very surprised if A-rod continues this torrid hitting. I expect to see him come back to earth against the Phils as well

There are a handful of players from this generation better than A-Rod.

Well that was a clutch hit, even though he's sucked for most of the World Series...

Not very good in games 1 & 2, but after that, when the Phillies actually did pitch to him, he hit pretty well. Love him, hate him, or don't care either way, A-Rod had a really good post-season. Not legendary, but enough to redeem himself quite a bit.

Congrats to the Yankees on 27.

Props. I will admit it yet again. I was wrong about A-rod and the Yanks. Congrats on number 27. They were the best team this season.
