It looks really cool.. I have a my touch 3g (HTC) from tmobile. HTC is really doing a good job with their phones. I wish they would release more over seas phones to the US.
Does anyone have one? If so how do you like it? This maybe the only phone that's keep me from switching to AT&T and getting an i-phone. Thanks

i h8 sprint, i am on the grandfathered sero plan, unlimited everything for 35 bucks a month, and they wont let me upgrade to the hero without changing my plan,
I really hate that... I got dooped one day w\them... they were like you can up your mins for only 1 cent more ... I specifically asked and NOTHING else is gonna change? they say nothing but the mins... Needless to say everything changed... damn sprint.
My parents got the Free & Clear Family Plan back in 2000, $85 and we have 5 numbers. My number has unlimited everything. I'm really liking the Hero, but I'm not sure when we'll have a free upgrade coming yet (I know the Hero won't be free, of course), and that's the only reasonable way for me to get a really nice phone. Right now, I have a Samsung Rant, which is nice for texting and all, but I really want to take full advantage of my unlimited data usage.
save and buy at full price.. ouch lol
I bought my HTC Magic (similar to MyTouch) at full price and found it is an awesome phone. Contains all features you could want, with functionality that is fast catching up with (or already exceeded) the iPhone.
If you're looking for value for money, then get a Magic (32a) instead of a Hero - they have the identical hardware except for the Hero having a better camera + 3.5mm headphone jack. All software for the Hero has already been made available to the Magic
You can get lots of replacement ROMs (similar to OS in layman's terms) on the forums at xda-developers.com.
Glad you like it... They (T-Moblie) just recently sent out the Cupcake update ( i think its cupcake, if not the donut). I think thats what the Hero was running already. HTC=good times lol
that doesnt matter, i cant even buy it at full price, it not "compatible" with my service, its bull they are just trying to kill the old SERO plan and make me pay double, 60 bucks a month for their new unlimited plan
I bought two HTC Hero's (The wife got one too) and I have had it for about a week. I love it its a great phone alot of cool feature and apps. I have never owned an iphone just know people who have and it's pretty comparable. I was really hesitant to leave sprint since I have been with them since the late nineties but I never had a problem with their service and I know people who have AT&T and have problems. Sprint does not really have any cool phones until they came out with the Hero. Besides AT&T plan was alot more expensive than Sprint's, I am paying 129.00 unlimited everything and have not regretted it. If anyone is in the market for one get one I would recommend it. By the way the phone was 179.00 with a two year contract.
