done...that picture is epic...where did you take that?
I am a local photographer (here in San Antonio), and I just entered a contest for ESPN, the magazine, called "The Shot".
The grand prize winner wins a trip to NY, to view the ESPN headquarters (I think that is in CT, actually), and more importantly for me, gets exposure through ESPN media outlets.
Basically, I am asking that you take two seconds of your time to vote for my image (if you think it is a good image).
Here is the link to where you can vote - it takes less than a minute.
Thank you for your help - I really appreciate it. As of the typing of this thread, I currently have 41 votes...and first place is close to 500 votes (so your help would be greatly appreciated!!)
Oh, and by the way: you can see more of my work over at my website.
Thank you, and have a great day.

You'll need more than just ST, I hope you posted this at a lot of other places.
thank you to those who have voted already!
and actually, i took this picture here in san antonio, at their football field.
i don't usually do this...but you can see the original picture, and all the pieces of the composite here.

hmm, from where do you think you know me?
very creative..kudos, my friend. great use of surroundings..and light.
Voted, good luck.
Just looked at the other entries.. Yours is the best..
thank you! in all honesty, i did not plan on making it this elaborate. however, after finishing editing the image (the first picture in the above composite...), i didn't think it was enough to win the compe ion, and i ed it up a little more. the final image is a result of about 6 hours of editing.
i am extremely pleased with the result.
thank you, thank you!
thank you!that was my goal, to make it the best i could make it, and to make it the best out there.
hopefully the judges agree with you!
you got my vote........but i like your other work better. good luck.
how in the world is this cheating?! lol.
I don't like the Warrior letters in the background, the fact that there are no fans, and the smoke is a little to heavy and none of it is close or in front of the players. it looks to photo shopped. Look at the player who caught the ball check out his right arm you can still see an outline. use the eraser tool and back it off about 25% and put some smoke in front
But that's my take and that doesn't mean I won't vote.
Good Luck!![]()
thanks for the heads up. i see what you mean, and it's a shame i didn't notice this before i posted it.
i think i am getting better with each shoot, though..and hopefully in a year i won't be letting these little mistakes through. lol.
thank you for the vote, though!
