    Spurs gave up on him because they already have a inside scorer called Tim Duncan. Gooden is a good PF and played very hard. He even spat some blood last year after a big body contact.

    What are you talking about...? He has the highest plus/minus on the team right now. He also has 2 steals, 1 block, 2 ba with 14 points .. Thats why they let him go?

    That would only matter in an irrelevant franchise such as the Mavs. Otherwise, that means absolutely nothing.

    Gooden was a good pick up. The Spurs had already given up on Defense before Gooden arrived so Gooden's lack of D was irrelevant. Gooden provide offense on a pathetic Spurs team with its constant scoring droughts.
