UFC heavyweight champion Brock Lesnar has withdrawn from his upcoming le defense against Shane Carwin due to illness, UFC President Dana White told Yahoo Sports on Monday.

“He said he’s never been this sick in his life,” White said of Lesnar. “He said it’s been going on for a long time and he just hasn’t been able to shake it.”

Lesnar was scheduled to face Carwin Nov. 21 in Las Vegas at UFC 106. White told Yahoo, however, that Lesnar has been sick for more than three and a half weeks and has been unable to train. White does not think Lesnar has the H1N1 virus, according to Yahoo’s report.

Sherdog.com has not been able to reach Carwin for comment, but he posted on his Twitter account that he was "very disappointed."

"It's (disappointing) hearing about your career and life through the media," Carwin wrote in a second message. "Nothing from the (bosses) yet."

This article was updated at 4:47 p.m. EST with quotes from Carwin's Twitter account.

Damn I hope its not true. 4 weeks to get back in shape seems like a long time to me, especially for someone like Lesnar. Maybe the roids take longer to kick in.

Camps are longer than 4 weeks, and apparently Brock has been unable to shake off the illness for almost a month. It's a bad situation for the UFC, after UFC 104 controversy.

I hope this is rescheduled for sometime within the next 2 months and they don't waste Carwin's time with another opponent. That belt needs to be defended as soon as Brock's health permits. Get well, Brocky!

And look where that got him against Mir.

Sucks for Carwin, I am sure he is bummed especially having to hear it throught the media. I haven't seen Carwin fight but I was actually looking forward to this fight since Mir got his ass kicked.

Last time Nog sucked it up Mir flattened him..

This sucks but they'll just postpone till like UFC 108 or something. If Brock has been sick enough to be out of camp for a few weeks, it's smart to call it off and reschedule..

It's better than Couture/Vera. Forrest/ o is at least somewhat relevant to the rankings.

Too sick to train - but not too sick to catch a Vikings game.

Saw that weird, but if he's been out of camp, for weeks i get why it's off. Rumor is they are looking at UFC 108 for reschedule.

    -Clears Throat-

"Shane Carwin has just Tweeted that he’ll be officially fighting Brock Lesnar on January 2nd at UFC 108, barring any injuries or illnesses of course. “Just received a bout agreement for UFC 108. “Looks like January 2nd is the new date,” The number one contender wrote."

I guess Brock needed a little more time. His butt must have been real tight when he figured he couldnt dodge it completely.

    You on Forrest vs Silva..

Against Middleweights he is 10 times better than. If he beats down Forrest like Irvin, i will be friggin shocked. Forrest is a legit great 205er..
Well he threw a leg kick and got cracked right on the button with a counter, really anyone goes out with a shot like that. We'll see, i just don't see Forrest getting blown out of the water here..

Im just gonna ignore your predictions all together..
