I guess I'm dumber than a box of rocks cause I don't see the problem with Blair's interviews.
Blair just doesn't know how to talk to reporters yet. Manu sucked at first but now he's like in' Jay Leno.

dejuan is just nervous - i would be too with 15 microphones in my face.. i agree with you eric i don't mind it at all, he seems very humble
and manu is hilarious
Yeah whoever holds Ticket 760's microphone. Dude, back the F up, you've practically got the damn thing in his nostrils.
The kid comes from humble beginnings and Pitt isn't a HUGE basketball school.
He will be fine. I like his his humble bringing the lunch pail at ude. An at ude you can respect. He's gonna challenge Manu for fan favorite.
C'mon guys. Blair is a 20 year-old rookie, who is an infant as far as media relations and interviews are concerned. The guy isn't going to be polilshed out of the box. He'll get better with time. You're looking long and hard to find fault with this guy. Cut him some slack.
As I said. He seems to be fine as far as I can tell. He just seems a little taken aback by the fact that reporters keeps asking the same arbitrary questions again and again.
Soon he'll have a politician's grin as he answers in cliches. Then we'll all miss young, honest Blair.
Who wouldn't feel uncomfortable when you're backed into a corner with half a dozen mikes shoved in your face? He should learn to create some space, use his big butt to knock the reporters back a few paces, maybe tear off an arm to make his point.
Seriously though, Blair just isn't used to giving interviews. Give him time then he'll have some standard answers down pat.. don't reporters usually ask the same questions anyway? Would love it if he emulated Pop's style in dealing with reporters.. that would be terrific..![]()
I love what McDyess said: "We don't call hin Dejuan Blair.... We call him "The BEAST"
Nice...
The main thing is that Blair is humble and works hard. There's absolutely no trace of arrogance in his on-court demeanor or his interviews. Folks looking for him to be the 2nd coming of David Robinson, as far as interviews are concerned, are going to be disappointed.
If you agree that he is by far from a finished product on the court, doesn't it stand to reason that he's also far from a finished product conducting interviews?
Blair just isn't a good speaker. Most people would be nervous with the media up in their face too. Some people end up being good public speakers, others don't. I could care less as long as he harvests arms. I know spurs fans would like him to roar and rip the mics apart in some beastial rage as he asserts his dominance over mere humans, but he seems pretty humble.
Blair has class, he's a rookie and not trying to be a hotdog in his interviews.

Hey I was happy to RJ take that intentional foul. Screw CP3.
FIFY, and I agree.
Most rookies have trouble dealing with the media. Give Blair some time.
