    2. Paul is in midseason flopping form
Thanks, but Manu's been flopping like Vlade out there. He's finally 100%!

    Manu has nothing on Paul.

Paul makes Vlade, Malone, Rodman, and Big Ben all look like complete amateurs.

Dont get all butt hurt when we bring up Paul and his outrageous flopping. It is fact. He is the biggest and most hardcore flopper in the history of the NBA. He flails himself even when there is no contact, just to get a call....and refs eat it up and give it to him. I have seen him on run into his own teammate, then throw himself on the ground to get a call.....and sadly the refs oblige him.

For a guy with so much skill and talent, he sure goes out like a night in and night out.

Whatever you say, hypocrite Spurs fan. But please, tell me when Paul did all this flopping tonight?

hypocrite? really? it isnt just Spurs fans....ask fans of all the other teams that Paul has pulled this with. They will tell you the same thing.

Manu has a flopping reputation....he earned it. However, in the last year or so, he has not flopped nearly as much, mainly because of all of his injuries. he hasnt been on the court, and when he has, he hasnt been able to just throw himself around the way he did when he earned the flopping reputation.

Tonight I only saw Manu exaggerate to get a call one time. He jumped into the defender near the basket and threw himself to the floor.

Actually, I saw about 3 and cheered when I saw each one of them. 2 of them were poor defensive flops and one was when Paul bodied up to him and Manu exaggerated the contact. CP got a bit of his own medicine on that play and it was nice to see.
Manu is good at showing any contact he gets but is out of practice. Its part of what I love about Manu and other teams hate, he draws the fouls.
The huge difference between Manu and CP is that Ginobli does not act like a . He just gets up and goes on with the next play.

Manu had at least three. One attempt to draw a charge was laughably bad; in his top five all time. If he's going to get the whistles from those and it's going to frustrate and anger Spurs' opponents, I'm all for it.

Yeah, but understand that when your second unit goes off like it did, it tends to make people nut hard.

Oh, and Blair going for a double-double in his debut didn't hurt either.

son you also have to recognize that our second unit is arguably the worst in the NBA ... easily in the bottom 5.

Part of me thinks this might be fools gold. But then I think of our second unit, and I see Manu and Dice. They do this sort of thing on a regular to great benches.

Blair and Hill are X-Factors sure, but you can see the improvement in Hill and it's just scary. Blair was matched up with Armstrong and Okafor for the most part, two guys taller and more athletic than him. Blair's motor just doesn't stop and you'd be hard pressed to figure that his production would drop significantly regardless of who he's boxing out.

Mix in a dash of Masons streaky shooting, and you have a bench that competes with anyone. Sure they won't blow out teams every night, but it's a unit that can hold, or even build on a lead. We didn't have that last year.

Spurs second unit is good, don't get me wrong ... I'm just saying ours sucks. our second unit could make the Thunder look like championship material.

You can't win without a second unit through the second and third quarters. But Okafor getting his first sets in without any practice doesn't help you either. I don't think this team has gelled. Last year the Rockets won a lot of games letting their second units grind down another teams first unit or completely outplay the other teams second unit.

son you gotta have faith and confidence in your team. if not, then what's the point in even watching? ....

Hornets starting 5 look good. Peterson is questionable, but Paul, West, and Okafor are solid. Wright is progressing into a pretty good player as well and offers twice as much as Peja does at the SF ... its our bench and laziness from CERTAIN key players on defense that bothers me.

Just from checking Peterson's stats last season and watching last night's game, I'd say the Hornets should really look into getting a real starting-quality wing quick. He's looking like the weak point on that starting squad.
