I know, that's the difference. We beat the Clippers and the Mavs beat you.

Hey! That's why they have a scoreboard & they keep count. Otherwise, it'd be anarchy.

To counter the size of the Lakers, the Spurs do have quite a few near 7 footers. Marcus Haislip, Ian Mahinmi, Matt Bonner, Tim Duncan, Theo Ratliff. If they can get their defense solid, the Spurs shouldn't have any problem containing the Lakers front line.

    2 things.

    1) Great win last night. Spurs looked good. However, lest we forget, the Hornets ing suck, so while I'm thrilled by the victory, I'd hardly say it's the best test of our talent. (Much as, say, the Lakers performance over the Clippers on Tuesday was hardly indicitive of theirs.)

    2) It's too ing early in the season for this . Christ, let's play at least a few games -- maybe one against....oh, I don't know...the Lakers?... -- before we start conducing team-to-team comparisons or predicting the WCF.

    Ok, a third thing:

    3) Portland & Dallas fans, get ing real.

Last season the last time McDyess and Gasol met up Dice had 14points 12rebounds 2steals and 1block with 0 turnovers. Gasol had 12points 11rebounds 0steals 0blocks and 5turnovers.

I don't think Mcdyess is worried about Gasol. Bynum can barely stay in a game where he actually has to guard someone. Repeated post ups by Duncan will send him straight to the bench.

I believe total team defense through the entire rotation of both teams will decide the winner whether it's the Spurs or the Lakers. Another big factor will be if the spurs continue to have the sucess with the 3-ball that they had last night.

C'mon, Cul. Exactly how is that relevant? The team is almost completely different this year.

I mean, I know that's one of your "catch phrases" on the board, but with the start of the new season, you might want to find a new one.

Well i believe, Its going to come down to bench players. Parker is getting his way like Tommy Lee is with Pamela! Kobe is going to get his, but the spurs are able to at least, contest Kobe, not so much said against Parker! Gasol and Bynum, will even out, Tim, Blair, and McDyess! Artest is Artest, not really worried about him! The only player that concerns me is Klahmar Odashin! However, thats it for the Lakers, they dont have a strong bench, they have a guy name Adam Morrison on their team, Even bonner is better then that dude ! The Second Team for the Spurs, Hill, Mason, Gino, Finely, Blair and McDyess/ Bonner / Ratliff (McDyess will fill the starter roll towards the end of the season, possibly sooner) is to much for the Laker Bench to handle, thus, Forcing Jackson to play his Starters to much, and not letting them get ample rest to finish out games! Bottom line SPURS are Deep like laker fans A@@ holes are right now, because they are going to have a much tougher time against this Spurs team then they ever had before!!!! anyways, Lakers are the team to beat, and until another team proves other wise, its the Laker team everyone is after!! All that said, hope every team is healthy and ready to collide in the playoffs!

Why should I grant grace on this ridiculous point/Mavs 4-1?

Everybody and their 8-year-old sister rode the [Kobe can't win one without Daddy] horse for three years without let up.

It's funny how Spurs fans calls Lakers fans insecure. For me, this is the first time that I've seen the Spurs. Sure, i've read how they've improved and should give the Lakers a run for their money, so Instead of commenting on something I had no clue about, i wanted to see them first hand. I do believe they have improved, improved enough to beat the lakers, I dont think so. I see Boston as the only team that can match up to the Lakers front line that would give them a run for their money. No way the spurs stop the lakers front line with their frontline, with a bunch of scrubs and a rookie. It's not happening. The Spurs will have to make their 3's to beat the lakers and history tells me, if you live by the 3, you die by the 3.

I'm disappointed in your lack of new material. You and I both know the Mavs won't do diddily squat this year. They beat a lame team last year. Not even the Lakers could have survived Bryant on one leg and Pau out.

It's a new season, get with it old fart.
