How the can Griffin be the best rookie so far? I know he's the next "chosen one" and all..but damn..let the guy play a game before he's the best. Rookie of the year so far is in silver and black, if you ask me.
2. DeJuan Blair, Spurs
The league is filled with players who overcome obstacles on their path to greatness. So it could be with Blair, who is undersized for his position and has had ACL surgery on both knees. His length, quickness and great hands help him play with bigger guys, his feel for the game drives him to important spots before others get there, and his strength and toughness give him the advantage when they do arrive.
He dominated in his first regular-season outing, giving the Spurs 14 and 11 in just 23 minutes against the Hornets.

Time will prove that he is a better player than the taller and flashier Griffin and the steal of the decade in the draft!

Steal of the draft yes but better then Griffin over a career idk about that.
But for our inaugural report, I built the rankings based on what they have done to this point: in college/international leagues, summer league and the preseason.
Griffin and Blair have a history of mutual respect and I really dont care if Blair is considered better longterm in a classical sense by the pundits as in the end if Blair dominates and plays a key role for the Spurs that is enough!
can you post the whole insider article?
I am no basketball expert but doesn't it look like he kind of sucks on defense. Also the picks he makes don't look as good as dices/ Sure he can rebound but he sometimes looks lost to me outside of looking to rebound.
does anyone else see that or is it just me?
Blair was great in high school, great in college, great in the summer league, great in the preseason, and great so far in the regular season.
He will make the hall-of-fame barring major injury.
it's called being a rookie.
Time will never prove that Blair is better than Griffin. He's not, nor will he ever be. He doesn't have to be. The masturbatory Blair fantasies are getting ridiculous.
Wow, Galli, that's a huge statement.![]()
I have no problems with Griffin being tagged No. 1.
I bet he tweaked the Rookie Rankings so that they include everything before the regular season for Griffin.
No, he does suck on D so far but I'm willing to let that develop.
I think Blair will win more rings
