does anyone like that barbecue beer made by shiner? i forgot what its called... smokehaus or something like that i think.

drinking something with the label of "smoke" doesn't sound too appealing.
sounds disgusting...but it's beer...I'll give it a shot.

its definitely best with food like pizza, chips, burgers, bbq, etc...

the mesquite aftertaste is way too strong. It starts out nice, then turns bad fast imo. A good smoke beer doesn't overwhelm you like that. It may be better with food, but I don'r really care to try it again. It probably would have worked better with a maltier beer like a Porter, or maybe a less pungent wood to smoke the malt with.
I like chinese beer better. They hit it with some soy sauce.
They smoke the malted barley with mesquite (in this case) before mashing/boiling the grains to start brewing.
