Manu got the bat!![]()
LOL, did bring that into the building on purpose?![]()
Manu got the bat!![]()
ahhahaha
manu's got bat powers
lol anyone believe this?
The Spurs will be damn lucky if they aren't fined by the NBA for the bat-release stunt.
That's garbage and was delaying the game and putting the players in danger by their reacting and possibly messing up their knees and ankles as they slipped and cowered from a flying rodent.
PLUS any potential flack from PETA over what happened to it. What if Manu broke his hand smashing the bat?
Bush league.
The Spurs released the bat? Who said this?
Never fear.
Bat Manu is here

please, you don't have to be Columbo to figure it out.
It's Halloween and the Coyote has a Batman costume ready to go, though it might not have been supposed to go off until half-time.
This has 'promotions idiots' written all over it.
The Spurs will probably play cover-up and pretend to the media that it was all a coincidence.
Here's the key to my question.
That wasn't on purpose. A bat invades the AT&T Center about once or twice a season. No way that was preplanned.
And the Coyote had a major delay before coming out with the costume.
It's hard to believe anyone would think it's a good idea to release a live bat into a stadium of 20,000 people. Even if it had been planned there's probably no way to prove it.
How anyone thinks this was orchastrated by the Spurs orginization is beyond me.... There's no way that was pre-planned. It was most likely a fan getting a bat in or a freak accident.
I remember that bat stuff since the Alamodome
Even if it was a stunt, you're overreacting like crazy. The bat had been noticed way before the coyote had come out in costume, so it's not inconceivable that he changed into it when the opportunity presented itself. But that's besides the point.
Although this is a serious sport to us and the players involved, it's solely entertainment. So yes, that means pyrotechnics (omg, what if a player's hair caught on fire?!), smoke, lasers, light shows, and flying mammals. It's not a big deal or something to be angry about. It's a show.
good point. I'm going to another thread.
how am i over-reacting? Am I saying I'm the one who could be fined?
And I have probably 90% of all the SBC/ATT home games on tape and I've watched more than once, I don't recall any other bat incidents.
Conspiracy nuts already out in force
What happened when he hit it? I can't tell, it looks really small when he picks it up
I don't think that was planned, dumb move if it was...
The last time I saw a game at the AT&T Center (last December against the Griz), there was also a bat going around right before the game. I think they must just be in the area. I don't think it's a stunt at all.
