Hugo Weaving would be similar in philosophy with Cameron's initial choice to use Lance Hendricksen as le killer robot, though the studio eventually decided to steer away from "creepy" and towards "imposing". O.J. Simpson was considered for the job after that but some studio execs nixed it because they didn't think audiences could buy him as a killer.
