I'm not going to hijack this thread. Dirk was UNREAL. Doubt Pau could have done that. He was amazing. I agree!
I am sure you would. That is like accepting a plea bargain of community service when you have killed a man and they have the gun with your prints on it.

you finally come to your senses
I just watched it and, yeah, that was an awesome display by Dirk... Birdesque.
Also, that there is the definition of the zone for anyone not yet acquainted with it.
Dirk is ballin out of control.
Applaud dis man!
When he's on, Dirk can be as unplayable as LeBron and Kobe... he really has no offensive weaknesses.
So i agree with Ghazi, he is the best offensive PF in the league, and number 2 overall![]()
I'll agree to that. I respect the out of Mr. Duncan!
A few years ago Tim was one of the preier offensive players in the game (as is Dirk), but with Tim just starting to show his age, I think that's an apt assessment of the situation too.![]()
That was A-M-A-Z-I-N-G! Even I'm a Spurs fan, it's very amazing.
It's a shame he has never played with another player who is/was top 5 at their position. Jason Terry? Josh Howard? An old Jason Kidd?
so unfair he doesn't have a ring yet.
I love watching Dirk play except when it is against San Antonio.
All the talk about multi-skilled 7fters and so on, none of them have the skills of Dirk. I also appreciate his ability to carry only decent supporting casts further than he shold of over the years.
Props![]()
Calm down Allanon ! 75 wins ecstasy
Lakers will be fine, Bynum is doing great but Pau jury = heavy PT for Kobe which is good for my fantasy team but could be an issue later in the season.
why couldn't Dirk do this vs. Warriors or vs. Hornets?
He was hurt against the Warriors. As for the Hornets, he averaged 27, 12 and 4 on 44% shooting, so what the are you talking about?
just saying, his biggest 4th quarter in his career could prevented the worst upset in sporst history
This. I wanna see him go for 29 in an elimination game before I start the coronation.
Well, he was hurt and hobbled and out there playing anyway. You guys ed and whined about how Timmy was "banged up" when the Mavs sent them fishing both times, so it's a little hypocritical to hold Dirk to a different standard. Mavs fans don't make excuses like some whiny Spurs fans. He was hurt, not his normal self, Mavs lost. End of Story. That's what happened, but we don't constantly harp on that fact like you guys do whenever the Spurs are eliminated.
what injury did Dirk have in that series?
spurs fans need to STFU about Dirk, the guy is constantly owning the spurs.
He hurt himself in this game and was never the same after that:

That's partly why they struggled down the stretch after clinching the #1 seed. He developed bone spurs and was only about 70% of himself the rest of the way. Avery was the coach then and didn't believe in making excuses, so not a lot was said about it at the time.
