However, this is a question of impact on a game and not a player comparison.

In a game, you can't put up .8 of a shot. So the end result of 1.8 is just 1 shot for that game.

It is not a fallacy but a reality.

Fractional points & averages are great and all in fantasy, but then there is reality. And in reality, that 1.8 turns into just 1 shot.

I've never seen anybody foul out with 5.7 fouls. But I've seen 'em foul out with 6.

You can put up "4/5's of a real shot" in fantasy games but you CANNOT put up 4/5'ths of a shot in a real game.

So in the real world 1.8 equals 1 shot.
