So what happens if the Spurs play well against the Blazers and win tonight? The Jazz loss will be forgotten and the proclamations of 2010 champs will be all over the place. A lot of you so-called fans need to stop acting like whiny little pussies and man up. How can you even call yourself a Spurs fan and complain about losing 4 games into the season when you know Popovich uses the season to fine-tune the roster until the RRT?

There's a difference between "loyalty" and "criticizing the team" and the cliff-jumping a lot of the users are doing. It just pisses me off because every season it's the same . Even the years we won the le, every single little loss the ST posters jump.

The reality is that it is indeed only November. But if you don't think the Spurs will get any better over the next 78 games then by all means, panic away.
lol, I have been watching this team every single game for the past 10+ years. I know how good they will be by game 82. I know the weaknesses they will STILL have by game 82.

In case the TRUE O.G. Spurs fans have not noticed, this is not the same weak pathetic league that gave you N.J., PHX, & the one-man army Cavs as the top compe ion.

Why must we look at everything with rose tinted glasses? Sometimes it's better to call out the team when they were bad (last night), and praise them when they are good (opening night so far)
What difference will it make to call them out? Its not like professionals need fans to them what did wrong. Nor will they even see what is said on a forum.

As one of those O.G. fans and as someone who has watched games for 30+ years, I can say we have noticed...but on that same tip, we also know that while there are areas of improvement to be tended to....the ultimate goal is still attainable.

Exactly. Anyone who expected the Spurs to come out looking 100% and playing at their best is a ing re . There are so many new players that have to integrate, I don't know why some of you can't grasp this.

I'm really sick of logging on here following a Spurs loss to find a lot of the Spurs fans on this forum complaining about the team and about our hall of fame coach. We suffer our SECOND loss of the season and people are proclaiming that "the Spurs suck", "RJ sucks". Does anyone realize how hard it is for a player to join a new team? Not to mention one that is used to scoring 17-20ppg and being the the 1st or 2nd option on his team and having to readjust his game after 8 seasons in the NBA? Not only is he trying to readjust his game, he is trying to learn a new system at the same time. Give the guy a break. I'm STILL happy he is here, we will need him when it counts.

May I remind the Spurs fans on this forum that the Spurs last season began 0-3. We then went on to a record of 2-5 including losses to Miami, Phoenix and even the freaking Bucks. We then went on to a 54-28 season despite all the injuries we had. It is nonsensical to expect the Spurs to make these changes and not have any sort of transition period where the players get accustomed to playing with each other in the rotation, especially when 30% of the guys would still be really sketchy on the details of how the offense and defense is run. For those who are complaining that RJs defense today against the Jazz was horrible, did you notice Richard yelling at Blair for not providing weakside help on more then one occasion? Spurs fans should know that defense is a team effort, the guards and small forward will always look like terrible defenders with the NBA offense-friendly rules if the big guys in the paint don't step up and help out. I'm not saying Blair or RJ are terrible defenders, but this is a classic example of this miscommunication and two guys still learning the defense.

We are only 4 games into the season, we have surpassed the 1-3 record we had at the same time last season. It is unrealistic to expect immediate improvement from the beginning of the season. Don't even get me started on how 2 of the big 3 barely touched a basketball since our early Playoff exit. We all need to relax and support our team, and our coach. They need time to mesh and will put together another very solid le push. We have no right to complain after 4 games.

Spurs are playing some great D and Bonner and Finely in the starting line up is the right call. I hope we have this in the playoffs. Happy?

Dude, you shouldn't take everything so serious and stress out so much over it. IT's just venting allthough I do agree some take it a bit to far. Chill, relax... it's going to be a very long season if you stress yourself out so much over venting.

15% of U.S. adult population likely has some form of personality disorder. 26% of U.S. adult population likely has some form of diagnosable mental disorder.

Which means that someone you know, real or vitual... is crazy.

    bunch of Drama Queens

I love the spurs, I love the squad like it is now, I love what we are and how we play. This season is going to be great!!! Drop the negativity, it just started. By bashing and blaiming and cursing everything after only 2 losses in a season which just started, tells alot about what kind of person you are and your knowledge of the game.

    GO SPURS GO!!!

What's the point of praising them? It's not like they need to be told they did a good job nor will they see what is said on a forum... see how that works?

these are all very strong points and most of them are true, but if you look at our wrap sheet we get our together when we need to, know one knows what the is going to come of this bonner finley crap, but usually when we have talent on a team we dont screw it up! now lets trust that things wont change much in our progress into the season. and like i said before pop has a of an idea whats going on right now, he cant fail this season he has a load of pressure from holt and this city. i dont think were going to come out like pussies come playoff time. we shouldnt be talking to eachother on here it just makes enemies between people that want the same thing, so lets keep our hopes up

I woulden't say that the fans that call out their team aren't true fans but they should defenatkly tone it down a bit, if we are playing like this towards the playoffs then fans should start to panic
