There was a list like this at the bottom of IMDB but I can't find it anymore.
For me, A Clockwork Orange takes the cake
The ending of Apocalypse Now freaks me out as well
Talk about a movie showing how dark the human mind and soul can get The Horror, The Horror

pretty much anything stanley kubrick makes is chilling
Of all the outta nowhere, misplaced movie scenes, this one HAS to take the cake for "scariest non-horror" scene simply because it was so unexpected.
Any scene from Maid in Manhattan.
Dr. Szell from Marathon Man, made an entire generation fear the dentist:
Marathon Man is a really good movie.
Yeah. That movie wasn't intended for kids.
Deliverance…But not just the squeal part…The banjo kid, the old man dancing at the gas station, Drew’s dislocated shoulder…It freaks me out to this day…Some DVD’s have the French audio…Even more disturbing in French…
I got scared of the oompa loompas when I first saw this.
that movie makes me cringe. the whole oedipus/electra complex in korean is enough to make me shove a live octopus down my throat.
best realistic fight scene ever![]()
Not so much scary, just totally depressing and ed up. Way to drop a buzzkill in the middle of a completely enjoyable horror comedy.
Not to mention the tongue removal part.
Oh yes. I watched that movie like all the time when I was a little kid and had a friend sleeping over and I'd be enjoying the movie and then that scene came and I'd just be like "what the is going on?" Pretty disturbing scene when you're around 7 yrs old
Surprised no one has mentioned Apocalypse Now. To me it's like the haunted house of movies
^ Not sure what your point is. Those are both my posts
When the invisible predator jumps in the river after AH-NOLD thought he had gotten away.

That one scene with Uma Thurman
It's also a really great book. One of my all time favorites. As you can imagine, the auther goes into some great detail about the dental torture. Can't really think of anything worse![]()
What do you think you're doing, Dave? Dave, I really feel that I am en led to an answer to that question.
The most frightening thing ever seen in a non-horror movie?
*get the eye bleach ready*
