    Kobe is already the undisputed player of the 2000's decade(4 rings, 6 Finals, 4-1 gainst TD in the playoffs, etc.).

    So the question must be asked, can he repeat this feat for the 10's?? LA is posed to win 3-6 les with the current team, and Kobe is even better than before. The Prince may have something to say about this, but turthfully, he's not on Kobe's level yet.

    Can Kobe become the only player in history to dominate TWO decades?

    I think the question is whether he wants to play through the 2020s and dominate three decades...

    I'm an unbiased NBA fan, but the forum signup forced me to choose a team. In reality though, I don't play favorites.

    It's certainly possible.

    Right now he shares 1C to Duncan/Shaq (1A, 1B).

    But if Kobe went on to win 7-8 rings total, he would be the undisputed 2000's player because people would view his body of work.

    With 3 rings in the 2010-2020 era, he would need another guy to come up with 4 to beat him out...which is highly unlikely.

    If Kobe can play at a high level the next 5 years and win a few more rings, he'll probably be player of 2 decades.

    Kareem did it, he was a Laker, I don't see why not.
    Kareem's best years in the '70s were spent in Milwaukee. The Lakers teams he played with in that decade were hot garbage.

    Some numbers of note in the West this week:

    • 98: Kobe Bryant's 41 points Wednesday night at Houston in the Lakers' 103-102 overtime victory marked his 98th career 40-point game. Kobe is third all-time behind No. 2 Michael Jordan's 173 40-point games and runaway leader Wilt Chamberlain's 271.

    The real shame is putting an innocent man in jail.

    " Trina McKay, the resort's night auditor, said she didn’t look upset when she came back from Bryant's room, and didn’t believe Faber was telling the truth.

    In her letter to Gerry Sandberg, Faber would apologize for "mix-ups" in her initial statement to police"

    Kobe probably has around a good 6 year window left in terms of his current talents to dominate, so imo no, after that his game will probably be on the decline naturally. IMO it's Kobe, Duncan, Shaq as the best players of the 2000's.

    Just a hunch but I would say LeBron will probably dominate the 2010's, of course he needs to get on a team more talented then Cleveland. MJ, Kobe all had solid supporting casts to win their rings.

    This was always what she was after in the first place.

    1. I mean c'mon "mix-ups"?
    2. A fellow worker saying she looked perfectly fine after leaving Kobe's room?
    3. Having man juice from 4 different guys in her from the last 3 days?
    4. Going up to Kobe's room at night for an autograph? And then later changing her story?
    5. And then all of a sudden declining to testify when the contradicting evidence came up?

    Kobe = 4 rings
    Duncan = 3 rings

    Kobe = 6 Finals
    Duncan = 3 Finals

    Kobe was 4-1 against Duncan in the playoffs. Duncan never even led his team to the Finals 2 or more years in a row.

    1) Kobe
    2) Duncan
    3) Snaq

    yea so i guess pippen was a better player than say hakeem in the 90s right? i mean pippen had what 6 rings to dreams 2? nevermind that pippen was second fiddle to MJ, just like Kobe was second fiddle to Shaq from 2000-2004...yea lets just ignore the fact the Pip had the GOAT and Kobe had the MDE.

    Everybody knows that Shaq and Kobe were Alpha-males on the same team.

    Lakers decided to keep Kobe and jettison Shaq. Shaq's been traded twice in his career, Kobe's still with the same team since his rookie season. This in itself is very telling.

    Since Kobe got his 4th "sans Daddy"; he's answered the doubters.

    Now he's working on his legacy as compared to Michael...we'll know in 5 years.

    I'm not even sure if Kobe was the best player in the league for a single season during his career. First it was Shaq, then it was Duncan, then LeBron and Garnett and Wade during their career years.

    Kobe was a top-talent, but that was still Shaq's team during the three-peat...1 MVP and 3 Finals MVPs to Kobe's 0 and 0 proves that. From 2005-2007 Lakers were trash, Kobe demanded trades, and quit on his team in Game 7s.

    2000-2002 I give to Shaq, 2008-2010 I give to Kobe...2003-2007 was Duncan.
