look, Dirk is a damn good player. I am not doubting that ... but you would be a fool to think he is one of the best PF's in the game TODAY (much less of all time). Dirk has received TONS of help from the refs with his free throw shooting. its funny how Mav fans look past that FACT.
Dirk has never been a legit 20 and 10 player. 20 and 8 at best. a typical night for Dirk looks like this ...
23 points, 7 rebounds
6-17 FG
2-4 3P
9-9 FT
now take away his usual freebie free throws and he only scores 14 points. of those 9 free throws, MAYBE 2-3 of them were legit fouls. take away the help he gets from the refs at the line and he is just an above average NBA PF. good player and excellent 3P shooter for his size, but far from anything "Great".

lol son Paul has never gone to the line more than 5 times per game (yearly average) ... Dirk on the other hand consistently averages 7-10 trips to the line every year.
regardless. Paul is half his size and is a legit double, double threat EVERY night (not once every 5 games like Dirk) ... and Paul is a legit triple, double threat year in and year out.
I wonder how BR will find a way to justify Paul on that play...
