Where'd you hear this at?
I wouldn't mind having him on our team at all.
What is this I hear about them wanting to trade the 7 foot center?
He makes about 6 million a year, and is signed this year and next.
What do you guys think?
Where'd you hear this at?
I wouldn't mind having him on our team at all.
12M this year
12.9M next year
Not for that price
Heard that too.
But according to Sham sports, he costs:
$12,025,694 $12,912,823
Expensive.
Even if we got traded Mason, Finley, Mahinmi and Bonner all expiring contracts, we cover only about 10 million.
One NBA general manager said the Philadelphia 76ers are still actively trying to move center Samuel Dalembert. A league source said the Sixers contacted the Warriors to see if they had any interest in Dalembert, but talks never progressed.

Dalembert wouldn't work at all on this team..
He's a headcase, and he has arguably the lowest basketball IQ in the NBA..he would be in Pop's doghouse after a week or 2..
He definitely helps talent-wise, and could obviously use a shot blocker in the middle..he just wouldn't work here or on any team that wants to contend IMO..
Won't happen with that contract.
Samuel Dalembert would be a perfect fit for this team. He is durable, he is a solid defender and he alters shots. Not to mention, he is decent offensively and can run the floor very well.
Too bad he makes so much damn money.
Harlem is right about some of his problems, but I think he would fit well. But no way would I take on that contract if I were the Spurs.
Different strokes for different folks![]()
I think his game fits, I just don't know if Pop would be able to tolerate him..he makes A LOT of ridiculously dumb plays..
Talent can't be questioned obviously, which is why he got that much $..
if the FO wants to take that contract and feel like Pop would like him, I'll be happy..
I wouldnt mind having him if he wasnt so pricey
What if we got a 3rd team in?
Would it be possible that way? I agree he makes about 3 million more per year than he should, but he is a legit 7 footer and about 28 years old. I wouldn't mind having all that cap space once him and TD come off the books in 2012..
Dalembert would be ok. Too expensive, but a good shot blocker. I could see him not exactly being Ppps favorite player, Dalembert not the highest Bball IQ. I'd rather the Spusr try for something that could actually happen, maybe... Thunders Etan Thomas, Clippers DeAndre Jordan, or the Wizards JaVale McGee.
If Pop can tolerate Finley, he should be able to tolerate anybody.
Yeah I thought he was making more than 6 mil. Too expensive I think for the Spurs.
I've watched him over the last couple of years and I agree. You never know what you are getting from game to game IMHO. Sometimes he is all world and then he will do something stupid. Talent wise I like him but he has a low BBIQ. He would be in Pop's doghouse pretty soon.
Too expensive. We already have to pay RJ so much.
He makes more than Manu. Pass.
What I think is if you are going to post a thread at least do some basic research to support your idea/theory, because when you don't you look like a in idiot.

Sorry to be so harsh, but I see threads like this all the time and it s me how lazy people are - it takes about 20 seconds to look something up, but most people don't bother. This is what happens when you build a society around instant gratification.
As for Dalembert, one-trick scrub. No way I'd bring him in. How about we have some patience with the excellent roster that has already been assembled?
No trade will help. Bring in Dalembert, Camby, Gasol and even Garnett and Pop would still be playing Finley at the Power forward.
Too expensive.
