A friend of mine once told me to wear a helmet.
My father was doing some work around the house today, and his arm got caught on a nail, and I helped him take it out.
It got me thinking back to when I was in high school. My parents and I were visitng my mother's friend Bruce at his house in Maine. We all went on a boat ride (Bruce owned a boat), and the boat was going at a really high speed. Stupidly, I was sitting at the very front of the boat, with nothing guarding me. The boat hit a rock, and I went flying out of the boat. Luckely, my father caught me by my ankle. If he hadn't, I now the boat would have just run me over. Has anybody ever saved your life like that?

When I was about 3 years old I fell off a pier at my parents friends house at the coast, I am told I went under once & then as I surfaced my dads friend was able to grab me.

yeah. Once my dad saved me from a nasty riptide while vacationing in Delaware(I was 8 years old). Also, one of my squadmates pulled me down in Iraq just before some Baathist let lose with a clip from his AK. I could hear the bullets zing overhead.
I was able to save myself. I was like 6 or 7 years old and went to the Guadalupe with my friend's family and I got caught up in some strong current and went over a rock, and nobody saw me. I swam as hard as I could against the current and finally made it back over the rock. Maybe I should say my parents saved me by paying for those swimming lesson I took when I was like 5.
I am a hero. Once in the bahamas a old man was drowning in the ocean and I pulled him out, performed CPR on him and brought him back from the gates of . Not as much as a thank you from the bag.
A woman in our house was choking. I dashed to her side, spun her around and performed the heimlich. The meat came flying out, on to the floor and my dog ate it as soon as it hit the floor. I wanted her to choke on my kawk as my reward but didn't think it would be cool to ask. I may bring it up next time I see her.
I choked on a Dorito when I was 4. My granddaddy picked me up by my ankles, old-school, and shook it out.

Not yet. But I have saved many, and prolonged even more.
Does it count if I walked into a house that reeked of natural gas and told the people in it their gas was leaking?
Abso- in-lutely!!
Sweet, I hope that makes up for all the ed up I've done in my life when I have to answer to the man upstairs.
If not it was all still totally worth it.
