ok...I'm only gonna say this once, Simple Jack.
When you have the ability to run, linebackers and safeties are going to be focusing on the possibility of you taking off and running as well as the receivers. If you are a ing statue, like Kerry Collins, they don't have to worry about you running a QB draw for 10 yards and a first down, so they can focus on covering the receivers. Also, it opens up for a lot more screens, because naturally, if a QB can run the ball, you have to bring more people in to blitz, because if you just sit back in coverage, the QB will go on a bootleg and take off and get at least 4-5 yards. Do that twice and you have a first down, and when LBs rush in, it leaves the field open for 5-10 yard slants and passes to the flats, as well as screens..which opens up his ing passing game. Once again, something that anyone with football knowledge would understand....

Blake's trolling is superb. So is his ability to eat s.
Then why isn't Vince passing for 300 yards a game?
Is it because your theory sucks or does Vince suck?
make your choice wisely, hugger.
the theory is correct
its just that:
1. vy has crap for receivers
2. vy isnt a great PASSER
just because he isnt launching 300 yards a game doesnt mean that his presence doesnt change the way defenders play
just because Jason Kapono and his amazing 3 point shooting helps open offenses up, doesnt mean hes going to be dropping 20 a game due to other holes in his game. but the presence is there, and it has a very positive effect on the team.
as long as VY avoids turning the ball over, the ans offense will be fine. VYs biggest problem has been throwing interceptions downfield. his accuracy isnt great, but its not horrible either. he has a good arm. he knows how to check down to the TE and RB when nothing is open. he just needs to learn how to make better reads on downfield throws. i think he doesnt see safeties and linebackers dropping into coverage sometimes and that is when he gets in trouble. if he can learn how to make those reads better, he could potentially be a of a QB.
Maybe because of the playcalling and because they don't need to throw more.
If you can move the chains and win games by running the ball, then there's no need to throw the ball.
Not: Miami, Detroit, Tampa, Buffalo.
The rest, yes.
Miami not? really? instead of Henne and with the wildcat?
We've seen how awesome Vick's been in the wildcat.
With just one or two plays for game, it's hard to have an impact on games in so little time. Brown, Williams and White have a lot more touches and are ussually in game rythm when they have to run the wildcat.
How often is White even in the game when they run it?
When the Lolphins had their picnic against the Colts earlier this year, I think he was on the field once, and he wasn't even part of the play.
A lot more than Vick, that's for sure.
Vick has more rushing attempts than White this year so no, not a lot more.
Yep, you're right. I really thought White was used a lot more than by Miami, maybe I got that impression 'cause in this last game against the Pats he was used a lot.
He wouldn't start for the Jets, Lions, Chiefs or Bucs. All of these teams invested high picks and/or a ton of money into their current starters.
Jags? Don't see the upgrade.
Dolphins? Doubtful as Parcells loves Henne.
49ers? Interesting scenario with Alex Smith. Considering that Smith has played decent this year and that he's their very own high pick reclamation project, it's doubtful VY would start over him right now. I'd say a coin flip at best.
UT bias?
bias?
how is people saying he won two games and played well, bias?
choose your words more carefully, youre hurting your cause and making yourself look ignorant
perhaps you can go to dictionary.com or some and learn what bias is, or else read on up on what a message board is

bottom line here.....
Vince has played two games this year as a starter for the ans
The ans have won those two games
Watching Vince against the Niners this past Sunday, he's not nearly as bad as I remembered. He even threw a few nice deep balls. Overall he managed the game and didn't make mistakes. He's certainly improved from his last run of starts a few years ago. If he can continue to improve he'll certainly avoid the 'bust' label.
But the main reason the ans won that game is Chris Johnson. End of story. That, plus, Alex Smith sucks balls. (and so do the Niners, pretty much)
if only alex smith and jamarcus russell would turn off their cell phones for a day, they could get some suicide pub and take some heat off vince
I'm all for both gentleman actually committing the act, instead of just threatening it
you answered it right there.
naw, it's not about need.
If the passing was really opened up that much, then the numbers would reflect it.
not Carolina or Jacksonville either.
