I don't pretend to be something I'm not. I'm not a hateful person. I might use vile words, say something that parodies your own subtly vile rhetoric- exposes your hypocrisy. But I don't do vile things. I don't subscribe to a political philosophy based on bigotry and hatred. I'm not vicious or lacking in compassion.

The only hateful thing I've ever said to you has been when calling you out, for what you had to say about someone else, or usually a group of people. I don't think Carrie had any basis to sue. I don't see how California owed her any compensation.

Suing has become a get rich scheme, and I think that's deplorable.

Suing should be the exception not the rule, in my opinion and should only be done for a legitimate reason- I.E. serious physical injuries were sustained and money is needed to pay medical bills.
I think all this senseless suing is especially tacky given this country's current economic situation. Some people need to seriously adjust their perspective.

I admired Carrie for taking a stand for what she believed in in the initial compe ion. But I think she should have left it at that and moved on with her life.
However, I won't bad mouth her and I am grateful that my mistakes are not a matter of public record.

The video the lawyer showed Carrie is extremely graphic and has never been released publicly. We know that, because TMZ obtained the video months ago but decided not to post it because it was so racy. Let's just say, Carrie has a promising solo career.

We're told it took about 15 seconds for Carrie to jettison her demand and essentially walk away with nothing. As we first reported, the Pageant is paying around $100,000 to her lawyers and publicist -- a fraction of her bills. She pockets nothing in the settlement.

Two pages and we're still missing the crux of the argument. The only way we can come to a consensus on what happened in that room with the Miss California folks and the attorneys is if we get to see the video and judge for ourselves

She was 17 when she made the video. And, like most young people, they don't think about the future implications of their acts. I'm sure she never thought she'd be in the Miss America Pageant and asked an asinine question from some flaming drama queen. And that her answer would lead to all this trouble.

But this gives her a platform to reach out to young people, especially young girls who think it's okay to take part in "sexting".
