I ran 3 red lights once ... I was driving so ing slow and my perception was kind of, ummm, bad. I'm pretty sure that was the last time I ever pulled something like that.

I don't think driving under the influence of any type of intoxicant is a good idea ... but then I get postal when I see people doing other dangerous while driving, too.

Random fact: 11 people lost their job at my place of employment last week for testing positive for weed ... new ownership is big on random drug testing, apparently. Bummer.

If you choose to drive while experiencing a self induced impairment, you really need to wake up and see what is going on around you. If you want to get high, drunk or whatever, stay at home in your basement or something. Don't endanger the lives of not only yourself and whoever is in the vehicle with you at the time, but everyone else around you.

I know it happens anyways and there isn't really much I can do to stop it. I just find it hard to believe that people can be so convinced of their own immortality that they jeopardize the well being of others to attempt to prove it to themselves.

I have nothing against getting high or drunk or whatever. Where I have a problem is when those actions have the potential of interfering with mine or loved ones' lives.

EDIT: One more thing. Who would you choose to operate a hydraulic car jack or lift while you are working underneath it? Someone high or drunk, or someone who is sober?

btw, i've experienced 2 accidents in my 13 yrs of driving that i caused... 1) i hydroplaned into some older lady going about 1 mile per hour and actually bounced off her car. haha no damage. 2) i put a cake i made on the top of my ride and drove off... in' accidents!

i've experienced far worse by others who were either SOBER or drunk. 1) drunk driver almost killed me in a head on collision. 2) sober dude decides to take a right turn from the left lane on san pedro and totally slams into my small car with his suburban. 3) some dumb decides to haul ass and run a red light on the access rd of 281 and mulberry clipping my buddy and i and throwing the car into a 360... was sober!
