See I look at it differently. The fact that the Mavs haven't done is what makes me hate them more. Nothing's worse than a mediocre team with fans that think they're a dynasty.
I actually hate the mavs more. At least I can respect the lakers because they've won something, ya know?
Why so insecure about consistently losing to an apparently "mediocre" opponent? If they're so terrible, then why can't the Spurs beat them 1-1?
Meh. The fans are usually what get me, and living in Denton, I run into a lot of obnoxious Mavs' fans. So, I hate the Mavs more (indirectly).

That's why it burns me up to lose to dallas. Whenever we lose to l.a., at least they usually go on to the Finals. The mavs, on the other hand, usually make their less-than-graceful exit in the very next round.
I obviously don't hate Dallas, but if it were between the Lakers and Spurs, it would definitely be the Lakers. I hate San Antonio in a sort of kid brother kind of way (because it still is a sad fact that the Mavs HAVEN'T gone all the way, though I'm proud of a lot that they've done). I hate LA in a "you're all a bunch of jackasses" kind of way.

Mavs...mainly because I can't stand Mark Cuban. I hate Phil and the Lakers also but I respect what they have accomplished (after some help from the league)...

It's definitely got to be the lakers. It's a longevity thing. You can trace laker hate back 30 years. It's only been over about the last 5 or 6 years that there's even been a reason to hate the mavs because before then they had pretty much sucked for their entire existence. The mavs were decent-good in the mid 80s, but that was during the stretch when the Spurs were down so it's not like there was anything on the line when the Spurs and mavs got together. , back then the Spurs were barely just good enough to make the playoffs, and when they got there it was the lakers who would take them out in the 1st round.
I don't hate any team, I love the compe ion.
Lakers, unless Kobe ever plays for the Mavs then it will be the Mavs
