Ty Lawson was a steal at #18.
I disagree with his #1 ranking though.
I'd go with:
1. Tyreke Evans
2. Brandon Jennings
3. Ty Lawson
4. Johnny Flynn
5. Dejuan Blair

Lawson should have been a top 10 pick easily. He was an absolute steal, and will be the nuggs PG of the future, and will get a lot of PT w/ Chauncy being able to play the 2, not to mention his age, which will make it even easier for Karl to rest chauncy for the playoffs. A great situation for the nuggs, for chauncy, and for lawson.
Edit: I agree w/ allanon's rankings. I saw Tyreke play in person, and he is a baller! He should be ROY this year, and will be a star in this league for a while.
it seems from now on, every draft year will have great players...
so much talent coming soon!
Damn Banzai! That Samual L. Jackson/Jaws gif never gets old! That is priceless

What else did Lawson have to do in college to be a top 10 pick??
He was a great shooter, great A/TO ratio, good size and great speed...and performed well when it mattered most. Not to mention knows what its like to win...
I just never understand why he fell so much.
what's up with the spurs getting top 5 rookies the past 2 years while still being a playoff team while the mavs can't seem to get ? we seriously need a better scouting personnel/gm/owner that will butt-the- -out
So who in the top 10 should have drafted Lawson?
The T-Wolves
Disagree. Johnny Flynn is pretty damn good too and he's a much better fit for Minnesota's system than Lawson would be. Lawson needs to run and Minnesota doesn't.
Ty Lawson is the better basketball player, period. What happened to the days when you jsut drafted the best player?
And im not convinced Lawson doesnt like to run...his speed is basically what hes best known for..
These rankings are based on the PER formula. His PER his top for all rookies. He isn't putting up better stats than some of the others.
oh wait, his PER is the highest in the top 5 but Blair's PER is second, so it must be based on Thorpe's opinion. I thought it was a hollinger list. I don't have insider, so i don't know what else is said in the article.
Brandon Jennings has been the best so far.
In 5 years, it will be a well known fact that Beaubois is the best player from this draft.
The reason why I am choosing Tyreke over both Jennings and Ty Lawson is due to the respect factor. It's quite amazing but he already seems to be the leader of the Kings. He's the kind of guy that can rah-rah his team into a win and they'll listen.
Brandon Jennings, it's too early to tell but it doesn't seem so. Ty Lawson seems to have leadership traits but with Melo and Billups already there, he doesn't have the opportunity so we'll never know.
Christian Eyenga,, out of Africa via the Spanish leagues will be known as Pippen to LeBron's Jordan in 5 years time.
I thought LeBron would be playing Pippen to Hicksons Jordan?
No Chase Budinger in the top 5 = flawed list.
