IMO, it's an over-hyped statistic.

Maybe 4 games in 5 days over a road trip has a minor effect, but if a player cares about his conditioning as much as Nash or Rip Hamilton, B2B's shouldn't be an issue.
The first part. Mavfan doesn't make too many excuses, just look at tonight. They all expressed displeasure with their team and tipped their hat to the Spurs.
I think back-to-backs are harder on older players. Nash and Hill both seem to lose a step in the 2nd of a back-to-back despite their conditioning.
The younger players, like 30 or younger, should have no problem playing a couple nights in a row.
