I have no idea about the ethnic makeup of Spurs fans. All I know is that San Antonio is the third-fattest city in the country, and presumably the natives are Spurs fans. Make of that what you will.

You telling me there wouldnt be Mavs fans that would be reacting equally as re ed as some Spurs fans are? Some of those mfkers are the same people that were crying 'trade Tim, he's old', 'Fire Pop', etc after the 2-3...dont mind them much. Every fanbase has them.
Bragging rights yes, proclaiming 'ownage'? Nah because it was hardly that. And maybe you have bragging rights within the rivalry, but in general none at all. If you follow your own advice which youre suggesting in this thread and look at things more broadly instead of just a series, Spurs followed that 2006 'ownage' with a championship the following year. And last years 'ownage' with nice off-season moves to put them right in the thick of things again. When was the last time someone took the Mavs seriously as legit contenders?
Still the Spurs same core, Mavs changed theirs although I cant say I blame them. Point taken though, you can have your bragging rights within the rivalry.
