Today has not been a good day. The Team let go of Coach Scott which I think was a very good coach.He's the only NBA coach my bro has known.
I can't stand when ppl that don't know Basketball, make major basketball decisions. It turns out to be a disaster.

what I find funny is how this 20 something year old says "people who don't know basketball" obviously referring to Shinn and or Bower. both guys who have been around basketball longer than he has even been alive. this guy should take a look in the mirror. the dude is only half ass relevant simply because of who his brother is.

true, no doubt about that ... but its funny to me that this kid is running his mouth as if HE knows about basketball so well that he can make a statement like that. if he knew basketball so well, then he wouldn't just be riding the coat tails of his brother's success as a "manager". he would have actually made it somewhere either playing or coaching.
He is right.
And he's not saying he knows basketball, he's saying that having people who are clueless about basketball making basketball related decisions leads to bad results, which is true. You don't need to be Red Auerbach to state that.

Bower has been a disaster yes ... but I can assure you that Shinn made this decision. Look you can't put all the blame on Bower even as much as I dislike him. Scott didn't develop any of our younger players and he brought in his own assistant coaches so he is to blame for that.
I just think its pathetic for this kid to be running his mouth on twitter just hours after the firing. It looks bad on the organization that their star player's brother is basically blasting them. Scott had a personal relationship with Paul and his brother ... they aren't looking at him as a coach, they look at him as a friend ... hence why he is so pissed.
Yeah, that's the overall problem with the explosion of accesibility. You have people who can voice their opinion and have it read by other impressionable minds thus having assinine ideas and thought processes. I know he's looking out for his brother because, well, his brother is pretty much securing the bro's future, but he should be positive and not throw caution to the wind and make people thing CP3 is feeling this way, too.
I think, the ownership of the Hornets really dropped the ball after the successful run they had a few years back. I know they're considered a small market team, but at least make a concerted effort to get some more talent around CP3 before he decides to start a new chapter elsewhere. If you, as owners, can't affor it--then perhaps it is time to sell the team. Either way, it sucks for the fans when seasons are just going south way too early.
son financially they have done all they can. Even as the smallest market they are willing to pay over the luxury tax. This year they are like 3-5 million over. Its not an issue about being cheap and not putting good players around Paul ... the main problem is the Peja contract limiting them from spending more money. They traded Chandler for an upgraded center in Okafor who has MORE MONEY and YEARS on his contract than Chandler did. but like I said, the Peja contract is limiting them from going out and getting a better wingman or better backups.
Bower should have been fired simply just for that contract! HOWEVER, in fairness to Bower ... BYRON SCOTT had a huge role in talking ownership into locking Peja up. People tend to forget about that too whenever they blame Bower for Peja. Scott and Peja have been close friends for many years. , even our television announcers have stated numerous times on TV that Scott was one of the guys who talked Peja into playing in the NBA way back in the day in Europe when Scott played there in 97.
So maybe they should just give Peja 5-7 porn stars and ask him to walk away, eh? Seems like it'll work on both ends...
Scott is being scapegoated. Leading that pile of talent with a Robin trying to be a Batman (Paul), and a bunch of mediocrity/ behind him to 56 and 49 wins is excellent coaching.

If I were a Hornets fan I wouldn't find it so funny, considering he's simply reflecting his brother's - AKA their MVP - displeasure with the organization, which I wouldn't find so amusing...
