? don't get your point. He is their franchise player, it seems reasonable to me to imagine for instance Holt discussing with Tim about a Pop dismissal.
Except that Tim, a 4 time NBA champion and 2 time MVP has more crediblilty as a franchise player

^yeah but still CP3 is the hornets franchise player and future (or not) he is as much as important for the hornets than Tim for the spurs

True, but at t he end of the day, he is not part of the front office and there are so other factors that you have to consider, and I think they fired Scott in order to keep CP3:

The Hornets are struggling, and the arena is far from being sold out every night.
Therefore, it's importatn to win in order to get more revenues. They can't afford to lose money if they want to keep CP3.

Plus, if the Hornets start winning again, CP3's opinion will change in a jiffy

If the front office had deigned to ask Paul his opinion that would have been fine... but they didn't and don't owe him a ing thing. He's their franchise player- not their vice president.

If they decided not to throw him a bone, oh well, that's the FO's decision.

lol at 50% of Laker fans being butthurt over a former 80's Laker getting fired from another team's coaching job in 2009.

If there's one thing the b-ball world can count on besides bp3 crying, it's Laker fan getting butthurt and overly-protective about one of their own.
@ your mental gymnastics. That theory is quite a reach kid. Laker fans don't give a if Byron ing Scott gets fired from the Hornets. Utah fans like yourself on the other hand are infamous for having a little complex about Chris Paul. This is common knowlege. You can't stand the fact that people think Paul > Williams. This fact is well known and has even been do ented by Bill Simmons. So if anyone in this thread is "butthurt" and has an agenda it's your magic underwearing sisterwife having ass.

IF true - bad move by the front office. Even if they weren't going to change their mind if Paul was against the firing, they still need their franchise player to feel like his opinion is valued - even if the team goes in a different direction.

Paul isn't the VP, but as Paul goes so goes the Hornets. A smart front office knows they need to keep their best player engaged if they want there to be a long term relationship.

This is the kind of that leads down a slippery slope of trust issues between players and management. With the botched Chandler trade last year and now this, New Orleans is one management up away from completely imploding like the Clippers last year.

Regardless of what you think about Bill Simmons... Are you really disputing the point of what I said? You aren't exactly unbiased in a discussion involving CP3.

Quite frankly man, I can more than stomach the cp3 > deron opinion. Any day of the week. , I'll play devil's advocate and make the argument myself. I'm not dumb, I can read the stats. I know their respective differences in steals, rebounds and most importantly ast/TO. I got nothing on Chris Paul the basketball player. Dude's legit. I don't hate him one bit because people think he's better than Deron. Maybe he is better than Deron, IDK?

I'm perfectly en led to think he's a little sucker. Pretty much everybody else does; usually not out of loyalty to Deron Williams.

Do you morons even read... or comprehend what you are reading?

Although he said he wanted to be consulted... he clarified it with his comment that he said he should have been informed prior to the news going public. He obviously used the word "consult" incorrectly in the first sentence. His latter sentence cleared it up. Well... for those who can read.

"I felt like, maybe somebody would have at least consulted with me and asked how I felt before it happened," Paul said by telephone Thursday night. "It’s not to get my approval, but we feel we should know about the decision before it takes place"

"Coach had an open line of communication," Paul said. "Guys would feel a certain way about playing time, and Coach was always honest with you. He was always straight-forward with you from Day One."
I think this may have been the reason a lot of the me first es on the team (West) rebelled. An open line of communication to me means you have no reason to not understand why or how something works because you can always ask. The little also said that Scott helped him develop into the player he has become, so if the Hornets young talent wasn't developed it was because they had none.

Yeah they should have consulted him. Can't imagine one decision like this being made without Tim Duncan's input.

son again, don't bother bringing FACTS into this forum when it comes to Chris Paul ... most people on here have such a deep hatred for him that they fabricate headlines like this to make it look worse than it is and they turn the other cheek when they see the facts.

I don't like the little flopper either... but i respect his talents. With that said, I can actually read and he did not say that he wanted a part in the decision, only to be informed of it prior to going pubic. These goofballs here will twist anything to fit their arguments.

Why the does everyone think I'm a flopper?! If I hit the ground then I was definetely fouled, I have no reason to lie about it. Look at this play, Scola freaking threw me to the ground and yet people still think that was a flop:

So MVP's are whats needed to en le a player to be allowed input as to the personel, coaching and direction of the franchise?

    Lets see:
    Nash......check.
    TD........check.
    CP3........nope, sorry Chris.

Maybe Paul just believes that this FO move is pure garbage and he can't keep quiet about it.....I can't blame the dude.
