Bynum defends Duncan very well, Duncan has said so in the past I think.
He hasn't played any of them this year, but going by previous years:
Yao owns him - True
Shaq owns him - False
Duncan owns him - False
Howard owns him - False
even Bosh - False
Jefferson owns him - False
Okafur - I don't know
Bynum defends Duncan very well, Duncan has said so in the past I think.
Bynum defends slow, methodical bigmen very well, even very skilled ones. He also defends Amare well, but thats just because Amare is dumb as a box of rocks.
Seems like Duncan should be able to. Out of that list Yao and Duncan are the only ones that can shoot more than 5ft from the hoop. You can't take Bynum on within 5ft of the hoop.
If bynum stays healthy it's a wrap..when he's confident and when gasol comes back it won't even be fair
Only problem there is that Drew likes his touches and they along with his numbers will decrease when Pau returns.
Well see... I hope it's a non issue.
Drew will get as many touches cuz he'll play more with second unit

Why I was the only Suns fan who saw this coming is beyond me. People forgot how much Bynum wrecked us in 07/08.
Because the Suns were a donut team. I never said Stoudamire could stop Bynum lol

he basically neutralized Duncan in that game, is the good enough for ya?
Haha just wait till they play the spurs. That old and midget frontline is gonna get wrecked
dominate Dyess and Duncan?? highly unlikely
he couldn't even dominate the Mavs frontline
Gotta love the Bynum detractors that continue to squeal, "wait until this...wait until that..." it's undeniable that if healthy, Bynum is capable of beastin' and with more experience who knows what'll happen. It is undeniable he is talented. Man, hopefully he stays healthy...
Hopefully both Bynum and Oden are healthy come January 8th.![]()
Ankle wresting !!!!!!!
Perkins owns him. I don't think Bynum has ever scored in double-digits versus Perkins. I believe that in most games Perkins actually outscored him. Good post defenders playing for teams that can deny dribble penetration to the middle can take Bynum out of the game.
That's Bynum's big flaw offensively - he can't create his shot versus good defenders. He only scores big numbers when he has other guys manufacturing easy shots for him. I'd bet than 3/4 of his shots are assisted. That's basically Troy Murphy territory. Your regular to weak defensive team can't afford to shut down Bynum because the Lakers have other weapons, but it's easy to do. He can take jump-shots, but his efficiency is so low that the more he takes, the better. Versus Dallas and Houston he really struggled to score.
On the top of that, he's atrociously defending ballscreens, doesn't have the timing and awareness to show up hard and recover. Forces the Lakers to over-help - the difference on their p'n'r defence when Bynum or Gasol are on the floor is quite evident - and teams able to execute well the ball reversal and with good weakside shooters can cream the Lakers.
More Bynum and less Gasol and Odom works perfectly for me.
I would call it a draw but I can live with Perkins owning Bynum.
At least until January 31st.
Lucky for you Bynum hasnt been healthy for 9 out of the last 10 times they have played Celts (counting FINALS)
Perkins is a great post defender but my guess is come clutch time he wont see perk and even if he does Bynum would get him in foul trouble anyway ...
I just jop e we are BOTH healthy when we face each other no excuses ...
lol @ counting finals, that's the only thing that gives a meaning to "9 out of the last 10 games".They've played enough in the last 3 seasons and, IIRC, Bynum oscillated between being mediocre and flat out putrid (and it wasn't because he was out of form, I remember a game where he was averaging 20/10 for the last 10 games or whatever and fouled out with 7 points or so).
Why won't he see Perk? He never got him in foul trouble before, players of Bynum's type don't do that. And if Perkins is out, Sheed is another post defender. I'd guess that Sheed is another guy that easily owns Bynum. Has he ever scored in double digits versus Sheed?
I never make excuses, healthy or not. You play with what you have. I leave that stuff to the feminized Kobe fans.
They've seen each other twice since the 2008 season began.
