"His size is absolutely a factor," Rivers told the Boston Globe. "I go back to that game where we played them early in the year and we didn't play well. We got to the basket a lot, but we missed all the layups. Live, I was frustrated because I thought we were missing layups and we were pressing.

"But then when you watch the video, he makes you change your shot. We had three or four of them where we were right there and we double-clutched for no reason -- other than the fact to the left of your eye he was coming. And that's what size does. Size makes you miss layups. He's done that and he also gives you a low-post scorer with Gasol. And that's made them pretty darn good."

Mitch drafted him, and then when everybody was badgering him to trade Bynum--Mitch put them on his to ignore list.
Kupchak really deserves a lot of credit for sticking with Bynum in the face of all that pressure.

Huh? Bynum was on the table, but no one wanted him unless LO came with him.
    Wrong.

LO was being dangled for 3 straight years and was almost traded for Boozer, Artest and JO. While the Lakers refused to include Bynum in any deal involving Artest/JO/Kidd etc.

We know this as Jimmy Buss himself that Bynum was "untouchable" in a radio interview.

This is the correct answer here.

A lot of foolish people on this site. The only real concern with Bynum is health. Anyone who watched him healthy and still dogged him is eating some serious crow.

Given, they will pray for an injury so they can say "told you he sucks"...

If you look at Oden over the last week or more he is averaging 14 PTS, 7 REB, 2.3 BLKS on 65% FG and 90% FT.

And you guys do realize Bynum was playing like this in 07/08 before he got hurt? The Lakers are the favorites out West with or without Pau Gasol. That's how good a healthy Bynum is.
Yeah, he's been projected as Wilt Chamberlain 2.0. At worst, he's a longer and more athletic Tim Duncan

Bynum was coming back too early from injury and was far from 100%. Still he pretty much shoot Howard down.

If there's one thing I remember in this year's Finals is how Gasol became Superman's kryptonite. But yeah, Bynum wasn't even needed to beat that hapless Magic team anyways.
