Spurs need speed and athletcism in the front court. The NBA is changing year in and year out and adding more athletes and more speed. Duncan can cut it because he's a basketball genius. But face it, Dice is old, not fast, Ratliff is not fast, Blair is medium-fast at BEST and even then he's undersized.

The average speed and athleticism in the nba front court today is so far beyond ours right now its ridiculous. That is why we are seeing more and more easy offensive rebounds destroying this team, that's why we see the spurs unable to get into a rhytm offensively against seemingly ty teams.

The age of your big powerful crafty bigmen frontcourts is almost completely over. The rest of the league is playing a far different style of ball than the Spurs are now. This is yet another obstacle this team rife with 1st year spurs has to overcome.

    Lotta work to do.
I agree with the theory behind your post, but I think you're writing Dice off too early. I want to see him start next to Tim and play 20 games building chemistry before I write him off.

RJ had a bad night because he didn't get a lot of shots....that was by design and it didn't work.

    trade parker

start hill and bring in sjax......and the spurs will be champs.
Hill is playing great but I wouldn't trust him being the primary ball handler for a game. If you notice he plays offball for a lot of his minutes even when Parker is not out there.

    not watching, not recording.
Could someone please tell me how RJ turned the ball over after Bogans gets the steal to give us a chance with 14 seconds?

    I couldn't disagree more.
This OKC team ran Collison all night and Green mostly damaged us firing up threes.
Defense wasn't that bad either, we got stops at the end.
Pop just needs to STOP with the silly lineup like Bonner and Finley together and playing small ball with Finley out there.
He also needs to get on TP's grill about the defense.

OKC was clearly the better team, esp on defense.
