Our luck has clearly changed. Last year, Turkoglu would have made it and the Raptors would have celebrated on our home court.
Didn't the Suns have like 3 different game winners drilled on them last year? Mason's Christmas present, Granger's long range 3-ball, and one other... can't remember at the moment.
I wasn't referring to any fan base in particular....I was referring to the huge number of people who acted like Orlando getting Vince Carter and losing Turkoglu was the equivalent of trading Michael Jordan for Sebastian Telfair.

He's a great pickup for Toronto
Hedo had an anomaly of a year. That is not to say he did not have a great year with the Magic, but it was not consistent with how good he is.
Regardless, the guy is a cold blooded shooter and someone is who is more than ready to take the last shot. This is the best team the Raptors have ever had, and if they can get their act together defensively they could make some noise.

Agreed completely. Bell and Diaw, neither one makes these clutch plays down the stretch like Dudley. I'm still waiting for Kerr to trade for a legit big man, I have a feeling I shouldn't expect anything any time soon.

Too much was made out of signing Turkoglu this offseason, true. People thought he was Finals MVP or something. But adding him to that frontline of Bargnani and Bosh, both of whom have gotten better, was great. They are so skilled and difficult to match-up with.
It doesn't really matter though..
Turkoglu isn't worth that money, and that's the type of contract that could cripple a franchise..if Bosh leaves Toronto, which is a toss-up, that contract is going to look even worse..

Don't knock the raptors, I wish their next game would be in San Antone...
Raps do need to work on their defense. Along those lines, they really ought to play Sho more. Otherwise, I liked what I saw when they were here.
Hedo has improved a great deal since he played for the Spurs. He really is quite talented. I think Toronto is blessed to have him
