When did you join the AF?
I'm joining up this summer after I finish school. Already made the decision to go career military because short of an economic miracle of Biblical proportions, every single person in my generation is going to know "retirement" as a fantasy our parents once had while we break our backs working to the age of 90.

I'm hoping to just marry money. The plan's not going too well so far.

Let me know if that works out for you. Hopefully when it does I'll have already completed my mandatory four year term and received a commission either through owning some ass at OCS or through an ROTC program somewhere.

I'm hoping to find an 80+ year old multi billionaire widow who hates her entire family and is just looking for a good few years. Afterwards, I'll buy the Suns, clean house and bring in my own front office. I'll hit you and several people up if everyone still posts here

    My Dad was career military.
It's not always the easiest choice, but the benefits he has now are nice.
    Good luck, JT.

I'm so far from being the military type, so I'm always appreciative of those who join.

That's quite the imagination you have there, KoB.

Thanks for the well wishing. I'm catching some from family about it, but both of my parents are behind my decision 100%. My grandfather and uncle on my dad's side are both Air Force and I figure I'll keep it in the family by going with them. They also have some pretty bad ass intel jobs that the two recruiters I've spoken too said I'd be suited for. Dudes were up front and honest about everything and told me not to get too excited about the signing bonus and just make a decision solely based on instant gratification cash.

I would imagine it would be tough to hear your son or daughter wants to join the military - especially with us being at war.

I remember my brother coming home one day saying he was going to join the Marines. My mom, of course, was in shock.
My dad had a different response. There was no way my brother was just going to join the Marines without checking out all branches...starting with the AF.
My brother came back with, "No thanks. I want a challenge."
With that, he was off to boot camp.

does anyone else think the Pats shouldve conceded the TD and left themselves like 35-40 seconds instead of less than 10? Coulda really changed the dynamics IMO.

This situation comes up here and there but I never see the intentional concession... its all hindsight though

    Perhaps.
I don't trust Brady (and if I wasn't a Colts fan, Manning) with time left on the clock. In fact, after the Colts scored, and there was still :13 or so sec. left, I was pretty nervous about the Pats getting the ball back.
If another :30 was added to that, I definitely would've been on the edge of my seat.

In the end though, all we have is what actually happened. The Colts won fair and square. Brady was good all game long...Manning when it counted.

Agreed.....but just to clarify Brady didn't lose it for the Patriots. The defense and the coaching staff did. Manning played phenomenal, and the scary part is he clearly wasn't at his best.

You know, last year's Colts unit was probably my favorite team of the Manning era mainly for how they fought back from a bad start. When they were 3-4, they had the Patriots at home, and then a home game with Houston split between trips to San Diego and Pittsburgh. All four of those games were ing battles that the Colts almost lost. Each game they had to fight back and win in the fourth quarter. Say what you will about the Colts having a history of streaks, but when you're put in the position where every game is a playoff game (kind of like the one the ans are in right now), that's one of a schedule to have to start with. They had some cupcakes with Cincinatti, Cleveland and Detroit after there was light at the end of the tunnel, but it was still a .

Interesting things from the Colts radio broadcast... On Garcon's TD, Lamey thought it was Wayne until Garcon got up and held up the football. If you're playing WR in the NFL right now and there's any one receiver you'd even want to consider being mistaken for, it's Reggie Wayne. With respect to Randy Moss, Wayne made him look like a on both of his TD catches as well as a few other beastly grabs. Other than Belichick, he was the Colts MVP.

Also, Melvin Bullitt dropped some major loads in this game. Aside from some clutch tackling of Moss, his biggest highlight was going down with an injury and then coming back to make the game winning tackle. Bob Sanders has lost his starting job.

And last but not least, Jerraud Powers' balls dropped in this game. Dude practically earned Brady Daddy status with that near-pick on Welker but played smart the whole game.

Bob Sanders is about to get cut IMO.

I just put on Star Trek and nuked some white castle cheeseburgers. You know, this movie is really great to watch high. I watched it sober a few times last week and it was just mildly cool. Maybe I just have a sentimental attachment to watching it high because that's how I spent my first day after quitting my job after tripping acid the night before and realizing my job sucked and I hated my boss. But damn if that wasn't a sweet movie to walk into after burning four bowls of dank in a movie theater parking lot.

Bob Sanders is making too much money to get cut. They really need to use him in run support and zone packages and let Bullitt do all the dirty work. Sanders problem is he throws his shoulder into tackles too much and keeps injuring it.

I'd say cut Tim Jennings instead. Dude is on the same path as Tony Ugoh. He'll have a great play every now and then but he can't be consistent through a whole game. Moss's second touchdown, when he was wide open, was on Tim Jennings. He consistently gives up way too much space to his man and gets burned all the time. He was getting safety help all night.

JT you hit th enail on the coffin with Reggie, when the colts where losing by 17 and it was a 3rd down I was nervous until Reggie made a great catch, its a comforting feeling see that guy grab the ball, knowing that if the rookies drop the pass, and the rbs cant run there is still a chance throwing to Reggie

Last night killed me. I'm in New England, figured we'd pull out the win, and we
go for it on fourth and two... Why?!? Bleargh Belichick, that was beyond
    stupid.

JT make sure you get a guaranteed job when you come in.

Belichick played with fire and got burned. You just don't give Peyton Manning a short field with 2 minutes left in the game. Manning managed the clock to perfection. He left the pats with 13 seconds. That was a slap in the face to the D.

You know for years Belichick was in Mannings head. The roles are reversed now and last night made it more evident than ever.
