why are there so many cat related pictures online?

Am I seriously spending this much time with a bunch of...cat people?

Only if you plan to start him.
...and plan to let him jack up 20 shots a night,

...and plan to not "burden" him by asking him to play within the confines of a structured offense,

...and plan not to ask him to show up on time for practice,

    ...etc...

iverson is a cancer. No one wants him. There's a reason he ended up in memphis in the first place.

I think playing for a contender and having a teammate like Duncan would straighten him out. He'd be a dream pickup.

Aren't the Spurs 4th in the league in offensive efficiency or something. So, in a situation where we don't need offense, where the minutes he'd be taking would be Hills(A far better defender at this point), you want to add another pensioner to the roster. The problem at this point is that we're giving up 107 per 100 possesions. Iverson isn't going to help that. The solution for that is time, check back in 20 games when we start to gel.

YES. How is Mason better? Iverson would need to accept a lesser role though but at least it would be w a contender.

How is Mason better? His teammates don't hate being around him.

If anyone out there believed he'd be willing to accept that role a contender would have signed him a long, long time ago.

If you've ever played basketball and you're sitting on the bench and you know that you can help your team win when they are down 5 or 10 points mid way through the 4th you know how frustrating it can be when your coach doesn't play you.
There are plenty of guys out there who can contain that frustration and keep it from becoming a distraction to the team. AI isn't one of them. Being frustrated is excusable. Being a distraction isn't.

Iverson doesn't have enough game left to be any better than the already avaliable players. His defense is almost non-existant and you'd be allowing penetration and putting your bigs in tough situations.

He's no good for most teams in the league.

I do think that was Iverson's number 1 problem. If the team is not playing well and he is not playing then he feels he should be in the game. If the team is playing well and he is on the bench he is fine with it.
Yeah. He only knows one way and that's his way, to be tha man. He doesn't know how to be a teammate and at his age and with his ego, he will only alienate younger players and divide a locker room. But I think if he found a team of like-minded veteran doofus thugs, he could fit in. Oh wait, Denver didn't work out. I was thinking Boston could take him, but why would they need to since they are kicking ass. His at ude is a turn off to such an extent that his talent doesn't matter anymore. I'm in denial, have always been a fan of his. It may be the end of the road for him.

I think he'll wind up with Cleveland too, but you gotta wonder if that's a good idea. Of all things Cleveland needs it's not a talented PG (they have Mo Williams) or someone who can score (they have the best scorer in the league). What they need is to figure out how to play together (kind of like the Spurs) and for their key players (read: Shaq) to stay healthy. (kind of sounds like the SPurs, too, hmm?
