Thanks to you guys for all of the suggestions in my "wife's birthday thread" booked a trip to vegas, leaving tomorrow afternoon. wife is still unaware of the trip.
Picking her up from work tomorrow around noon, dinner reservations tomorrow night, O at the Belagio on Wednesday night...going to be a blast!

We stayed at The Tropicana for our honeymoon. Friends have told me how much of a dive that place is now.
She's going to hate her birthday gift, unless she likes to gamble. Otherwise, Vegas is only fun if you're getting high and having threesomes.

Just got back last week. I must say it has changed quite a bit. The economy has really put Vegas in the ter. 200,000 people lost their jobs in the hospitality industry. It was really pretty sad. That said, I am sure you will have a great time & congrats.

I haven't been to Vegas since shortly before the Wynn opened. I hate gambling there, but it's fun to go every few years and gawk at the new casinos.
Heading there second week of January for a friends bachelor weekend, knowing myself as well as I do i'm pretty sure things will get nuts.

No way. I hate gambling and loved Vegas. Outstanding restaurants and lots of great shows in addition to the more X-rated sides of the city.
How long in advance did you have to book the tickets for O? That was long sold out for all 3 days I was there back in August (though it was performed each day). If you have time, check Penn & Teller's show at the Rio. Those guys are hilarious, especially when they show you how they do their tricks.
Booked em last week. I went ahead and called their ticket office, and they did 25% off for me. I had to basically know the magic word though, they woudlnt offer it until i asked, and then specifically said "discount"....it was wierd.
Wednesday night is probably not their most busy time...especially at 160 bucks a ticket.

I hope you have a good weekend in Vegas and if you like steak and get a chance check out Nine steakhouse in the Palms. Its a bit pricey but well worth it.
Keep in mind that the Adult entertaiment expo is Jan 7-10.
