Iverson is the ultimate loser. He be the man. Sorry, with the Spurs you is at best the 5th option. He is, at best, a role player. I can imagine the Cadaveliers bringing him in if West is a lost cause. Imagine if the CAVs don't win this year.
die in a fire

Well actually I think Iverson be helpful here as you could start Manu and have offense off the bench.
I don't want Iverson starting here, but as an offensive option off the bench he could be really, really good, especially if he buys into playing defense too.
I don't think AI is willing to do any of that though. Maybe it's worth a conversation with Pop? Maybe it's not.
Now that SJax is gone we're going to have to hear about Iverson from you?
Just stop, please.
Spurs? Nah.
I think the Buffalo Bills should pick him up.
For s sake I will not be pushing Iverson.
Settle the down.
I do not want Iverson at all. I was just replying to Phila_Chamberlain as he is a poster I respect. Where exactly did I say we NEED to get him. Where am I saying I want him as much as I wanted Jax?
Don't go trying to start with me. that was supposed to be one comment on Iverson and one comment only until you had to try and stir it up.
I still want Jackson way more than any other option out there.
To the shills throwing around the idea of picking up Iverson, or Shaq: Are you ing serious? Or are you just covertly trying to cause disdain? Makes me wonder...
A.I and Shaq are going to be a tag team for the WWE before they ever play on the Spurs.
Jax is the only maybe, irrational trade I wanted.
Now it is onto a bigman.
Iverson respects Larry Brown. I thought Memphis was going to up once he signs there. He should just go to Charlotte or somewhere whose coach can demand respect from him.
lol I want to mention SJax, but I won't.
I will just ask how does it work when a player is traded? I know he can be traded again right away, but what are the rules with that? Does it have to be a 1 for 1 trade or can it be a 2 for 1?
Iverson and Jack on the same team? Good lawd that would be epic.
Mavs wouldn't want any part of it though... You have Jax, and the over-the-hill PG that turns into black jesus for a series.
Um, S-Jax can be had if he was traded by himself. If you wanted to cheat a little bit, you would have to do a 2nd deal with Charlotte.
Technically, this could be done.
Roger Mason + Michael Finley for Stephen Jackson
Then if you wanted to get a 1st rounder or something out of them, you could,
Spurs 2nd rounder for Bobcats top 18 protected pick.
This could be done as 2 seperate deals, but not a combined deal, so the Bobcats and Spurs would have to send two seperate papers to the league.
A recent example would be the Shawn Marion for Jermaine O'Neal trade last season during the ASB.
Shawn Marion for Jermaine O'Neal
Marcus Banks + 1st rounder for Raptors Trade Exception
Because Jermaine was traded for T.J Ford + something during the timeframe.
Thanks.
Anyone watching the Hawks Vs Blazers game? It's gone down to the wire. Boy is Joe Johnson a good player.
Edit: lol Fernadez just hit a 3 at the buzzer to send it to overtime.
Don't worry...AI will be a Laker by the end of the week...
EDIT:
Beat me to it...but yeah, esp. with Fisher stinking up the joint so far this season...
If any team in this league can get Iverson back on track it's the Spurs. He has a shot to play for an NBA le, Pop will tell him you bring your baggage here forget it we don't want you. Either be a team player or no deal. With the injury to Tony Parker signing Allen Iverson would make sense for the Spurs as an insurance policy, but only under those terms which would be up to AI to accept or not. The Spurs would be stupid to not contact Iverson and see if he would be willing to accept a reduced role to try and win an NBA le. If he says no to Pop and the Spurs, than he is downright on cloud 9.
1. He is a cancer, as pointed out by the other posters.
2. Team chemistry is going to get hurt again. Then the whole team need to readjust to iverson.
IF he comes, there will be like 7(correct me if i am wrong) new additions this year. THATS A LOT. half the team?
I pass. I dont think iverson can help the spurs at all.
He can help by selling jerseys. haha
i'll take him at a heartbeat 2 be our bench warmer
W.t.f.?
Is there any question as to A.I.'s position to playing the role of 6th man, or coming off the bench? Amnesia? 'cause, he's been pretty clear that he's not gonna do it for anyone with all his 'look at my resume' stuff, and his 'why you guys talking about sixth man, how'd that get started' stuff.
The dude quit showing up to work three games into the season because he wasn't starting games, after missing all the preseason and not practicing with his new team with a muscle tear. he was getting twenty minutes a game and playing at the end of some games, despite his allegations of neglect. he complained after his very first game, called out his new teammates and said the team could never win without him or with them as starters, whichever, neither is good. he broke plays during his few appearances, at one point cursing and yelling at the coach for having the temerity of calling a screen for the great A.I.-- "I dont' need no ing screen to get my shot off!", ... etc., etc..... and good lord, have you guys not been paying attention? This is the here-and-now A.I., not the A.I. of finals fame, or video game imagining, this is the last chance/ best behavior A.I., the A.I. that was told to stay away from the Pistons for a good chunk of last season, the A.I. that couldn't get a contract this off season, the A.I. that has been waived by the .... GRIZZLIES, the Grizzlies, the GRIZZLIES!
Crimminy A.I. fans, let the man go. He's got his $, his gaggle of kids, his scoring les, and his likely Hall of Fame induction to think of. You've got your fond memories. It's over for A.I., he's gone the way of the Starbury.
