Where do we turn next for our NBA trade chatter now that Stephen Jackson has been moved. We're hearing of a potential new three-way deal
Word is this is an exploratory discussion at the minute, but the key elements would be Nocioni to BOS, Dalembert to SAC, Cap Relief to PHI
Particulars as they stood early Tuesday AM, with Kenny Thomas representing the potential cap relief, found here http://tinyurl.com/ygez4nw
Well, something is missing in this rumor:
Boston has to give up some "cap relief" too!
I don`t see them moving House and Tony Allen,
that leaves Scalabrine and one of the above
plus a small contract to match the salaries.
And Bonner/Finley or Mason >>> Scalabrine/T. Allen or House
Glad for Nocioni.
Boston would be even better defensively. Now that´s scary.
Everyone is playing for second if this trade goes down.
Wow, if this actually happens...
This won't happen.
Nocioni a tad overrated dont you think..?
While acquiring Nocioni would make the Celts deeper, I'm not sure how much better they would be. They're already playing a nine man rotation which does not include any of the players rumored to be leaving in this trade.
The 3/4 positions right now are manned by Pierce, Garnett, Daniels, and Wallace. Does taking a few minutes from each of those players to carve out a role for Nocioni really make the Celts a better team? Of course, they could give him all of Shelden Williams' minutes and move Sheed to backup center and Noc to backup PF. Again, does that make them better?
Now if Garnett goes down again, having Nocioni helps cushion the loss. Seems like a steep price for some extra depth.
You're an idiot.
Boston doesn't need to get any better.
Noce and Sheed together? Friends? Brothers from another mother?
The dirty duo? Nuts and Noce? Elbows-a-Plenty? Technical foullowers? Noce-y-Wally-wally? - ? The Argentine and the arguing negro? Must love refs?
some of those you were reaching but@ Nuts and Noce
I don't know why the Kings would give up Nocioni and take Dalembert. No, just terrible. 76ers get cap relief if they ditch Dalembert. Why is the 76ers even in the deal? Just cut them out and the Kings should just deal with the Celtics indidvidually.
I thought I was reaching on all of them actually
From what it looks like the Kings are going to try and make a push for the playoffs, this is the 2nd rumor in which they're trying to give cap relief for a big man.
Ironic that for years the Kings were trying to unload Kenny Thomas' contract, and now that it's expiring they're willing to trade it for a bloated contract. IMO it's stupid, the youngsters on Sactown, mainly Evans, Thompson, Hawes, Casspi, and Greene are all playing well. They've done a great job so far in rebuilding mode and have a good long term outlook, why not let that contract expire for more cap flexibility rather than clog up their cap just to become a mediocre team?

Chad Ford currently answering questions about the possible trade...
Have to agree, Boston getting Nocioni would make them scary deep and every other team in the NBA would be playing second fiddle to Boston. If the Lakers get back to the NBA finals and Boston is there, forget it LA.
Hopefully for Boston they're not giving Shelden Williams in the deal. He's been their best big man (and player for that matter) so far off the bench. Regardless of whether or not they get Nocioni Sheed needs to do more for them than chuck threes.
why the would philly do this? just for cap relief ?
Nocioni would help the Cs to match small-lineups much better and to have backup wing able to defend bigger SFs (Daniels is relatively small).
Then they could have a nine man rotation of starters + House + Daniels + Nocioni + Sheed. Third stringers: Hudson + Walker + Glen Davis + Shelden Williams.
This trade isn't happening though. (Right now... who knows when most of the salary of Scal+Tony Allen+Filler is already paid by Boston...)
