no, i'm right about the matter. there's no if, and, or buts about it. you can not go out and buy OSX and slap it on any ol'(hardware compatible) PC. you can however get a hacked copy and put it on a PC but then you're just running something that isn't 100% and not everything is in working order. you might as well be running winOS at that point.

No you aren't. All a hacked version does is bypass the TPM, it's almost as if you are saying that the games IronMexican plays on his 360 aren't as good as the retail ones because his firmware bypasses the copyright protection.
Yes in some cases the hardware isn't 100% compatible, but a lot of hardware out there is, because Macs are just Core 2 Duos with Intel chipsets, if you have the same hardware you're set.

there's a difference between changing firmware in a 360 to play games on a dl-dvdr and actually running OSX on your whitebox. a big difference.

people pay upwards to $500 for winOS no matter how ty an OS it is.
personally i don't like winOS, if you couldn't tell, but i'd use a winOS system. actually right now i am using one at work and though it works fine for the most part i can tell the differences even if subtle. it's not that winOS couldn't be something great but given the evolution of the OS over the couple decades it's been in use is cause for concern. you would've thought by now things would be rolling on a good note instead of always playing cat and mouse trying to catch up to the compe ors... even compe ors in the gpl open-source market.
it just makes no sense when you're the big head honcho and yet your product is a complete pile of . step up your game!
No, what I mean is buying an iMac with the same specs as a PC costs $500 more. I don't buy the "but it works faster on Mac" argument, because that shouldn't be reflected in a price increase in hardware.
For instance, at apple.ca, upgrading a Core 2 Duo E7600 to a E8600 (they avoid using the model number) costs $220 extra. The price difference between the two CPUs is less than $130. Where did they get $220 from?
Just like all other multi-billion dollar companies, Apple using slick gimmicks and slogans in order to butt-rape customers outta their money.
It's going to be hilarious how Koriwhat keeps talking about the Windows OS while Windows 7 continues to dominate and receive praise from every corner of the computing market. Especially since that's his primary reason for arguing Macs are better, which is pretty much completely nullified now. Comparisons are showing that 7 is the equal of (if not superior to) Snow Leopard.
good luck! winOS always receives praise with each new version since 3.1, which was by far their best OS haha. it's like praising your kid for cleaning his room, it should have been clean to begin with!
whatever's been fixed in win7 should've been fixed a decade ago. just because they finally get it right 10 yrs later doesn't mean i'm handing them a trophy for doing so.
like i said, cat and mouse game and always trying to play catch up. linux for christs sake outshines windows in every in' aspect.

and my whole reasoning for standing behind OSX is because i stood blindly behind winOS for yrs like you do until i finally threw in the towel and said enough is enough and demanded more quality out of a product i poured tons of money into.

the day OSX is released to all whitebox's will be the day you buy it! mark that on your calendar whenever it comes out because damned if i am i bet you'll be first in line CH.
btw, what's new? winOS has been dominating the market forever just like the praises for every release of winOS.
i'm not going to sit here and say win7 sucks because i've never used it but i will sit here and definitely say it's predecessors are all code! and if i have learned anything in my lifetime it's you don't keep investing in you look for something worth a damn. i found what i was looking for and that's all i can say.
win7 might be the next big thing but do i care? not at all because what i use serves its purpose and does everything all my old machines couldn't that ran winOS.
