Saw Tony at Dave and Busters once playing basketball.
Saw Tim at Comp USA buing Diablo II (that tells you how long ago that was).
Saw Kurt Thomas at Baskin Robins last season.
Why the would you want to start going to pf changs or wherever just to see one of these guys? You don't know them, they aren't your friends. They don't give a about you because you're one of thousands who crowd them. Leave them alone, all they do is but a ball through a ring better than anyone else on the planet.

The best place to meet the players is at the railing before games, although I have been fortunate and have seen several of the players around town over the years:
Beno at Best Buy
Bruce at the airport ( he and my mom had the same flight from Houston)
The entire Spurs team in the lobby of their hotel in Houston- two years in a row!![]()
Another good place to meet the Spurs players is at their various public appearances throughout the year.
I saw Tim Duncan at Northwoods several years ago.
I saw Manu at Zio's over by Northwoods that same year.
I used to live about a two blocks away from George Gervin (he lives in Green Spring Valley off of Bulverde road in a very modest house) and saw him regularly washing his Mercedes.
But you'll bounce into players if you keep your head up and eyes open.
In Oklahoma City I met Chris Paul on 4 occasions (bowling alley, T-Mobile, two restaurants, downtown). Saw Shaq, Dwayne Wade and Udonis Haslem in an OKC Mall. Saw Pau Gasol downtown (when he was with the Griz). Met Byron Scott, David West and Barry Sanders all in the same Lowe's store on different days.
You can't really seek them out, just be aware when you're out and keep your eyes open. It'll happen eventually.
The only Spurs player I've had the opportunity of personally meeting was Robert Horry. He does business with a company in the building I work in.
Thanks to the people who are nice. To the rest

If you live around the 410 to 1604/10 area you are bound to eventually see a Spur eventually I've had a few "sightings" here and there but nothing to boast about...actually I think most of them have already been written about.
The only other one to mention is the one time in 2007 when my mom called me in the middle of class to tell me saw Beno at PetsMart on De Zavala with his dog. She got him to sign an Easter card for me. I think I *still* have it hanging somewhere.
This thread is a total ing fail.
This thread is creepy…Your players can’t even go to their doctor or pick up a prescription without it being reported…
I just wanted to know where i could get glimpse of them somewhere...
Give the guy a break jesus. Who doesnt want to see his favourite player of his favourite team? Nothing to do with stalking nor creepy.
I've met A LOT of athletes, never any Spurs though..I doubt I would ever see any of them around NY..
2 of my friends claimed to have seen a bunch of Spurs at a nightclub and a restaurant in Toronto on separate occasions..I believe the restaurant story since I heard it from other places, don't know about the club..
My friend told me he saw Tommy Lee Jones at Blockbuster at I10/DzV and he was upset about getting late fees. Then he said don't you know who I am? I'm Tommy Lee Jones! And got in his car with his daughter and sped off
Oh and we saw Jermaine Oneal and Al Harrington back in Boston in 03 getting dinner at Downtown Crossing. My friend took some shady pictures of them witht he camera held below the cash register
I saw Robert Horry trying to do business with my g/f at Ajuua off Huebner and Vance Jackson a few years ago...I don't miss her one bit.
when my wife was 19 she worked the late night shift at ihop on 281 and 1604 and tim and malki would come in a lot
