Bynum is beastinn... but most Laker fans were so quick to trash Al Jefferson about how he was over rated because he didnt play any defense...

Bynum has been less than impressive defensively this season, yet you dont seem to worry about the other side of the ball all of a sudden.

    Just sayin.
Duncan's defense hasn't looked too hot either.

Bynum is getting 2 blocks a game and is a very good post defender. He struggles guarding smaller big men that like to take their game outside - which they take outside for a reason. Opposing centers are averaging 48% inside the paint against Bynum. Compare that to Duncan's 57% or Dwight's 45%.

Hilarious that you brought up Al Jefferson though. His defense is closer to Tim Duncan than it is to Andrew Bynum's this season.

agreed, 3 yrs ago i would wonder if he was already in the HOF by the likes of DR house and others talking about him. Its only befitting that he finally be good after so long...and he is GOOD. He seems more patient and doesn't have that arrogant asswipe KG" anger problem crap any more either.
No Lakers fan on this board every implied or stated that Andrew would average anything close to 30 and 20.

We did however say that he's easily a 20/10 center with the right touches/minutes or on a team built around him. Guess what? We told you so.

Still overrated, still not impress. Getting force feed, putting numbers against midget teams, while letting 6'6 center get carrear highs. Bynum ain't , let's see how he do against team with legit centers, to bad there few in number, how convient.

What's crazy is that Andrew and pau have barely played with each other when both were 100 percent healthy..I'm excited to see that

I like Bynum's game-especially his soft touch around the rim. He plays like a true center and it's enjoyable to watch.

ATM yes, only cause yao is sideline with a broken foot, how convient. When healthy yao>>>>>>>>>>bynum, only a laker homer would disagree. You're a laker homer so your biassing is understandable. I'm a Rocket fan 2nd, and nba fan 1st, and I think d12 is the best center in the leauge, follow by Yao >>>>>(fillers)>>>>> bynum. Bynum isn't even the best center on the laker, that le belong to pau. With that being said congratulation Andrew bynum western allstar center*

Idk what has been so bad about Bynum's defense. Yeah, he has problems keeping intensity up, but last I checked Amare went 2-15 against LA.

Last season he was bothering shots a whole lot more than he is now. He showed that he can play defense. Now he's using most of his energy on the offensive end looking for fast break points.

Bynum's looking great this season, no hate..it'll be interesting to see how the Lakers manage their shots and spacing when Gasol returns..

Hope he stays healthy..seems like a good guy, so sucks about the injuries..Kobe deserves to die, but I hope Bynum stays healthy..

I would say Yao is definitely not as good as Bynum at this age.

But right now, Yao>>>>>Bynum and that's a fact.

I can't hate this season; game don't lie.

However, I am fervently hoping he starts choking, or loses his touch around the rim, or some non medical injury related calamity befalls him.

Bynum's numbers were just as beastly last year before he got hurt. This is not a surprise.

I'd just like to publicly state that I never doubted Bynum's emergence this year.

However, I did raise serious issues about the Faker bench, stating that the Fakers are top heavy and very thin on talent after their 7th man (Shannon Brown). At the time I was shouted down by that ad hominem junkie Purple and Gold, amongst others. I thought it would take until mid-season, but 10 games into the season and that thin bench has already been exposed to the wolves. You stand corrected.
Wait the Lakers All-Star PF hasn't even played a second this year and the Lakers are still 8-3. But yet you're already trying to suck your own . WTF HAHA. I knew you took yourself a little too seriously but this is down right ridiculous. You yourself even said this is a non-issue in the playoffs, so unless you think the bench will be the demise of the Lakers and cause them to miss the playoffs you should learn to STFU. In case you don't know how basketball works the addition of Gasol moves Odom to the bench and basically turns Powell and Mbenga into mop up minutes. That allows the Lakers to always have 2 of the 3 (Odom, Bynum, Gasol) on the court at all times. You and you're 20+ years of basketball should have taught you that. By the way that was another ad hominem attack for you in case you missed it

You're right, average centers average 20/12.

I guess Duncan is officially below average these days.
