I hope TP is ready to go on Saturday
Latest interview from his website.. http://en.tp9.net/%C2%AB-nothing-serious-%C2%BB-172
Injured at his ankle in the Oklahoma game, Tony didn’t play vs Dallas.
Tony, you didn’t play in Dallas last night when San Antonio lost (99-94 OT). Why not ?
It’s my ankle. On Saturday in the Oklahoma game, Richard Jefferson stepped on my ankle. I didn’t feel any pain on the moment. But the day after, my ankle had blown out. There’s nothing serious but Gregg Popovich and I decided not to play vs Dallas. There’s no need to come back in a hurry. We would like everything to get back to normal before I come back. That’s why I’m not gonna play against Utah tonight.
Moreover, Manu Ginobili left the court for injury too…
Yes, Manu felt some little pain to his adductors. We still don’t know how serious it is. He’s having an MRI today. I told several times before the season that the most important for the Spurs was to stay in good shape. And now, since the season started, it’s a grind! But I remain positive. I hope the wheel will turn.
What can you tell us about this loss in Dallas?
We did a good game. We could have won but unfortunately we didn’t. Besides that, Nowitzki (41 points) was at his best. He was very good.
What did you think of Rodrigue Beaubois?
It was the first time I saw him play. Rodrigue is very talented. He was aggressive, he did a very good game. He did a good job considering his time (8 points in 17 minutes).
I hope TP is ready to go on Saturday
My only hope with these injuries is that we are in someways getting them out of the way, that way by the time march rolls around, we would have already gone through our stretch of injuries.
I see, thanks![]()
Well, Pop wanted them to be out of shape going into the regular season. Increased injury risk goes right along with being out of shape.
From the games I've seen this season, I think Parker is the #1 reason the Spurs are mediocre.
Hopefully the results are somewhat promising. Anything more than a week or two would be pretty damn devastating to the team at the moment.Manu is having an MRI today.
