I certainly won't complain if we go undefeated through this stretch, but it might be a little too optimistic.
There is still a whole lot of team chemistry to go through IMHO.

    Wiz - W
    Bucks - W
    Warriors - W
    Rockets - Maybe
    Sixers - W
The Dallas loss was not a bad loss. The team was gelling. They were making the extra pass, and Jefferson was getting more shots. The Utah game seemed ok if they could have kept Dal off the FT line. Once the Spurs find roles for Jeff, and Mason they should start being more consistent. I still think this is the most talented Spurs team EVER.

That the team is slowly beginning to gel cannot be disputed, and I am glad for this.
But it might be a little premature to expect all wins through this stretch, especially without Manu for a week.
Yet I am heartened, dispite the win/loss record, that they are finally starting to gel together and that they are starting to play some D.

Yeah their D is looking good. I don't think it is the fact that they are a compe ive team as much as they aren't playing that good of teams. Except for Houston, they match up pretty good with the other four.

Al...you do know the Spurs have lost 3 straight right? And you think the Wiz are out for blood?
Waddup 92120. Yeah, I know the Spurs are on a 3 game losing streak. But it's no comparison to the streak the Wiz are on

The Wizards haven't beaten the Spurs in 3 years. With Manu out and an out or gimpy Tony, the Wiz see an opportunity to break their 3 year losing streak to the Spurs. They're coming in tonight thinking Win.

I am not all to concerned about their record....sure, we all love wins......but I am more noticing that they are getting better on the defensive end, and the offensive is showing signs of getting a little cohesiveness. If they can stay at or near the .500 mark through 20-25 games and show improvement, I like the Spurs' chances down the stretch and in the playoffs.

I think the Wizards will be a close win (we're about due for one), although we could blow them out as they are on a b2b.
Nov 21 vs Wizards - Loss - Wiz are out for blood
Nov 23 vs Bucks - Loss - Brandon Jennings
Nov 25 vs Warriors - Win
    Nov 27 @ Rockets - Win - 1st road win of season
Nov 29 vs Sixers - Win

    3-2 over next 5.

Dec 3 vs Celtics - Win
Dec 5 vs Nuggets - Win
    Dec 7 @ Jazz - Loss
Dec 9 vs Kings - Win
Dec 11 vs Bobcats - Win

    4-1 over the subsequent 5

7-3 over the next 10 games.
    Opening game FAIL.

Dude, you've got to check if teams are on a b2b - across the league teams lose a ridiculous % of b2bs. Unless there are very strong reasons to pick a team on a b2b always go the other way.

BTW, why have you switched your avatar to a pic of Kobe looking like a criminal? Lamar suited you much better!

BTW - more and more I think we should start Bogans most games. Even if he only plays a few minutes, starting Bogans-Dice-Duncan sets the defensive tone of the game right from the tip and makes us far more formidable at that end.

We will go 5-0, just watch!

    • weak compe ion
    • tony and manu are coming back in at most a week
    • TD and the rest of the team are pissed
    • mason is finding his range
    • we are the spurs we are not used to losing that many games
If beating up weak compe ion will help us gel and get our confidence back, great. I'd also like to see some minutes for Hairston, IAN and Hasilip if we get into garbage time.

    Don't jump too high now.

It still has to be seen. We can just hope they play good in the upcoming games.

Yup, nice prediction by the OP.

At the time he made it I was unsure - the chemistry was still pretty ragged at that point - but the team is really coming together at both ends... and about time, too!

Not only did the Spurs finish out the month 5-0, but the team's average margin of victory during that stretch was 13.2 ppg. WOW!
