I pointed out that the US used to be admired by the world and, largely because of its behaviour abroad, now it's not, and that that has made it much harder for the current US government to get things done in the world. I said nothing about "Americans" because I realise that you can't generalise the citizenry of a country of 1mil, let alone 320mil.

I find it ironic in the extreme that I make a couple of reasonable (ie. uninflammatory) posts, and the response is a vitriolic, bully-boy ad hominem bashing from the kind of trailer trash that gives America a bad name... just like the way the Bush administration bullied the rest of the world for 8 years.
