My money is on Sancha
This is a very informative statement . . . about you.
My money is on Sancha
I'm smarter than a 5th grader.
Not only would I eat you to survive I'd eat you for sport.
Um, ok, Racist much? There are a lot of foreigners at those schools and also lots of Americans. I came here as an immigrant when I was young. I worked and studied hard. I can assure you that I speak English without an accent.
Where is the poison? The battle of wits has begun. It ends when you decide and we both drink, and we find out who is right... and who is dead.
I'm not left-handed either.
Isn't ShoogarBear some kind of brain surgeon? My votes for him.
Yes, but that's not what makes me the smartest in here.
That's what I was thinking too. I'm always most impressed with the ones who can make their point with the least amount of words.
In terms of the SAT, don't forget that when the test was taken matters as well - they recalculated and redesigned the test in 1995, so scores are weighted differently pre-1995 and post-1995. And of course, again post-whenever they introduced the third section. When they introduced the new writing portion, they also reconfigured the verbal section, and removed all the analogies, previously considered one of the more difficult portions of the test.
Degrees can mean something or nothing. I know they often take a lot of hard work to achieve, and I also know that many people with advanced degrees aren't that common-sense smart (I work around a lot of these folks). Likewise, knowing a lot of trivia could mean something, or nothing.
My IQ ranks in the genius level according to the standard scale (150+), and I forgot to pay my car insurance bill this month until I got a reminder that it was post-due. Go figure. I read a lot, but there is a ton of stuff I don't know much about and most math beyond algebra, geometry and trigonometry is totally over my head. I can write pretty well, but I frequently can't think of simple words in regular conversation (SFIE often has to interpret 'that' and hand gestures to figure out what I'm talking about).
It's all pretty relative.
Someone who doesn't get nearly enough credit is Darkreign. He's probably one of the most open minded persons on the board who understands many things quickly and is able to view things from many viewpoints.
To me intelligence has nothing to do with being able to repeat a bunch of information but rather how well you process and understand the information you're presented with. DR doesn't always have the facts straight but he's willing to listen and does a good job incorporating what he learns.
Its pretty funny because most Americans can't even speak English correctly. These immigrants who have trouble with English are many times on their 2nd or 3rd language when Americans in general can't even speak one.
thats the major reason to stay in your own dam country, if i went to germany i would be a ing dumbass, so i'll stay away, thats what makes me real ing smart!
I've noticed that. I think I speak English pretty well for a foreigner. It's not my native language and I speak 5 languages. I have also never lived in an English speaking country. First, how many Americans speak more than one language? Second, I was amazed at how many Americans can't even speak their native language in a proper way. Sometimes I think I seem to do better.
And yet, when foreigners say something, they will get bashed by Americans like; "You stupid foreign dumbass...". But, these ' foreigner dumbasses' speak your own language better than you dois the first thing which comes to my mind, when someone is saying that.
5 languages?
rofl yeah right i know this trick, let me guess
english, french, spanish, italian, and portuguese?
Nice try.
English, Dutch, German, Macedonian, Serbo-Croatian.
+ I can also speak a little Greek, Bulgarian and very very little French. But that's a little, so I did not mentioned them in the list of languages I can speak properly.
I have a Ph.D in Pig Latin.
Ackray!
^ Ok, that made me giggle.
i'm smarter than the average bear...but i don't think i could outrun the average bear...so it's best we stay in our respective circles.
I'm just your average joe.
Is that better than an average chalupa?
Well SHIET!! I'm the smartest person on the planet!
Its true! My mom said so.
Brain surgeon. Proctologist. No difference really.
