As great as Bird was he will tell you himself that Kobe is better ...I heard him say it on Dan Patrick's radio show ...BEFORE kobe won MVP and last year's le. And Bird is no false modest guy ...he said it was RIDICULOUS Kobe had not won an MVP yet ...CR i know you prefer Wade and maybe Lebron and that's your right and I agree they will surpass Kobe soon ...but when a HOF'er such as Bird can give Kobe his props who cares if you don't? Kobe is 2nd greatest SG since 1980 and that is cool as far as players go I say KAreem, Jordan and Magic are at this point definitively better ...(rings and stats say so) everyone else Kobe is at least equal to or better than ...

Actually, you forgot to put Bynum at #2...
You know, I hated Phil's ways and thought he was a lesser coach than Pop or Riley BUT last year showed me how great he was and I vowed to give him proper respect if we won it all ...as for Bynum we won a le with little contribution from him so I put him as 5 (our size) he may play a more critical role this year ...BUt until then he is listed 5th

Yeah, we were pretty fortunate to win w/o a major contribution from him last year, but I don't think we'd be able to repeat w/o the same effort he's giving this season. I value him, actually, as a possible no.1 must-have for the ultimate success. We all know Kobe will bring it; it's what the 22-year old center will bring that may be the key to it all.
